recently, i have seen more and more guys online (mostly zoomers) forgo the usage of proper capitalization altogether. every time i see this happen, the more that i think that these zoom zooms actually have a point. uppercase letters are literally useless. why do we have to waste time and mental energy arguing about whether to capitalize the i in internet or the b in black, when we as a society should not even bother using "proper" capitalization in the first place!

anyways, thoughts and opinions? id like to read them.

I prefer the use of uppercase. It easily tells you where the start of a sentence is within a paragraph (if you want to skim through), looks tidier, and lets you quickly identify natural and avid TikTok/Instagram users.

What you're describing doesn't sound like having a point, but being lazy, like when people use "ur" for your/you're, which looks horrible in my opinion, and can only be read in a mentally challenged voice/regular Omegle user voice.

When you speedread shit like a normal person actually setting out your stuff so its easy for your brain to disassemble is useful.

Ie. Try to find useful information in a piece of shit autistic block of text compared to a properly written out and formatted one.

Of course this doesnt really matter if your zoom zooming and are only capable of sending 60 characters at a time anyway.

yeah, but the period does that job just as well. also proper nouns exist.
looks tidier
having random size shifts in a text is not tidy at all!

languages change because of people being "lazy" (aka being inventive and resourceful). there is nothing lazy about not wanting to unnecessarily make your writing look less uniform so some boomer freak of nature can read.

Well thankfully absolutely nobody cares about Zoomers' opinions, so that isn't a problem. I mean, what are they going to do about it, go on tiktok in clown makeup and cry about it? Lol.

I tend to use lower case in casual chat environments like video games and instant messengers.

For most people, proper formatting is overbearing outside of formal environments which aren't meant to be archived due to lacking intellectual value. It also takes longer to get your idea across in fast-paced environments when you're reaching for those punctuation keys to properly put a dash in "hard-assed" or "I'm". Lower case writing also has an implication of a light-hearted, friendlier writer, similar to putting "lol" at the end of a statement to let the reader know you're joking.

(Inb4 Kiwi Farms is not of intellectual value. Remember this website is an actual resource for information about Internet celebrities and criminals whether people admit it or not.)

I get people using proper formatting on a traditional forum like Zenforo, BB, and even arguably Twitter, but you just look like a tool using strict punctuation on casual platforms. I guess some people lack the social skills required to make this distinction which leads to all-lowercase messages on Kiwi Farms. On the bright side, it makes finding actual retards easier.

Uppercase letters aren't just a matter of grammatical tradition - they convey intent, respect, and reverence, and they help you organize ideas (for yourself, the speaker, and also for the reader). A capital letter, dwarfing the rest in size, clearly indicates that you have moved on to a new idea. Plus, not using them is nigger behavior. It's digital Ebonics. Sort yourself out, OP.

Just cause I thought of a good analogy -- the equivalent to in-person conversation, I would say, to not capitalizing letters, is not making eye contact when you speak. I'll still get the point of what you're trying to tell me, and it is in fact weird if you maintain constant eye contact at all times, but if you don't do it at all, I'm just going to think you don't care.

If uniformity is your concern, then don't spaces between words also affect that? Why not do as the ancients usually did and remove them? After all, what need have we of those, if the words are still recognizable?

Bruh have you watched "Dateline: to catch a predator."?

The wast majority of kiddy fiddlers forgo basic grammar and capitalisation in favor of erotic role play or normal chat. It's not just zoomers.

I'm a religious Chris Hansen (golden age) dick sucker and what's interesting is when predators sperg out in the show they always forget grammar.

i was thinking about this earlier today
it's annoying that there isn't a button on the keyboard to simply switch to and from Ironic Case

whatever happens it's a win if all the spergs who used to type like germans in the early 2000s eventually die out

It's because zoomies are too scared to give the impression they care about anything at all (like bruh imagine being so uncool fr). It's no different from a good chunk of them lacking facial expressions and voice intonation, which they do lack.

You already do. Look at the width and length differences between letters. Also, punctuation.
Let's write in morse, it's even more regular. Or in binary white and black dots, maybe.
And I bet you don't have any "tidiness" objections to littering your text with emojis.

>complains about lacking uppercase in english
Negroid.. what am I supposed to say, coming from a language that uses uppercase for all nouns like reasonable people..
