Years back I was doing landscaping for some very airheaded hippy lady with a massive property, and she told us to leave the grass longer than usual and not get too aggressive with trimming because the bees live in her tree and hang around her property, and "You know, just think of how the bees feel?".

Social wasps are the moon crickets. Solitary wasps are good boys as long as they aren't making nests near doors, porches, or in the garage.

In the places I've lived, owners are required to have control over domestic animals other than cats and bees. It always discusses cats, but sometimes there are no laws explicitly covering bees.
