It always seems like whenever I have a conversation with leftwing people they seem to not have the cognitive ability to think critically about a subject. It makes sense that public schools have poor scores in reading and mathematics as a result. Those who lack the capacity to understand written or spoken language won't fight back against indoctrination, they won't question, and they will find comfort in being told the same things since early school years.

I think it's much more subtle than that. Does your family lean left? Live in a liberal area? You are raised to believe certain things are 100% true, such basic things that all your behavior is structured around it.

A) The most important things in the world are empathy and compassion.
B) Empathy and compassion are when we ensure nobody is ever 'harmed' or feels a bad emotion
C) All people are fundamentally the same.
D) Anyone who would add nuance to these points is un-empathetic and causing harm.

They will use astoundingly creative logic to ensure A, B, C and D are always true. There are more, but that seems to be the core of it in 2026. It's not just stupidity or lack of education and that's so much worse.

They want this same figure to censor and take away people who will say mean things about their beliefs or lifestyle.
