Respectfully, blacks finding a cultural affinity with Italians speaks more to the experiences where you grew up rather than ethnography.Definitely not.
Growing up, despite looking mostly-white at a glance, I was able to traverse black neighborhoods without any problems because they knew I was Italian and recognized "the struggle" that our families share. Whenever I started to get the "cracker" shit, I'd tell them I was Italian and it would immediately stop. Pretty neat trick.
That's more of a cultural thing in relation to society's treatment to minorities.Definitely not.

True story. Maybe lacking a bit of historic nuance but it is true that North African Muslim tribes (collectively called the Moors although technically the Moors were only one of those tribes) invalided and settled Italy and Spain (interestingly this is partly where we get the term blue blood from) for hundreds of years.
