Are blood sacrifices required when working inside a computer?

No. I have built several PC's and you don't need any blood or to sacrifice anything. Just don't do what they did in The Verge PC build video. You will be fine. Read the motherboard manual. Don't get stressed out about the little connectors for the power switch and so on. Those aren't that hard. Don't bend the pins on your CPU socket or CPU if it's an AMD CPU.

Yeah it's not mentioned much but the incantations to nullify the blood demons are in the manual.

When I said you don't have to sacrifice anything I was wrong. All you have to sacrifice is money. depending on the performance you want. It could a little or a lot. Back in the mid 2010's you could build a gaming PC for under $1,000. That's not the case anymore I imagine.

Smartest guy I even knew had a PhD in computer science. He told me that you don't actually own a computer until it makes you bleed.
So... yes?

OP try upgrading your rig from the 8086 IBM bed-of-nails architecture to a modern one with like finger screws
basically just skip over 90s PCs entirely since those were made of rusty razor blades

As ling as you follow the rite of replacing as put forth by the machine cult and apply generous amounts of hymns and incense the machine spirit should be appeased enough as not to require a blood sacrifice
