The Masker: Someone who appears to have their shit together, often in a respectable and/or lucrative career, but once you dig a bit deeper they drop subtle clues that they are on the spectrum. Intense social anxiety and or being unusually reserved unless they're discussing one of their special subjects being two I've observed in the maskers I know.
Every female scientist, engineer and academic I've ever met fits the category, but I know a couple of autistic dudes who mask too.

Come to think of it... the Sigma autist is probably the male version of the Masker. The males I know who mask are usually less convincing than females, and the few who are can only keep it up in short bursts whereas the masking female can often mask all day.

That's what I had in mind when I threw the Sigma tag out there. An autist who can hold down a job, takes care of himself and for all intents and purposes passes for normal in the eyes of most people.
He's the guy in the office who almost never goes to after-work drinks and doesn't talk about his weekend plans in the office, because the normies who are going on winery tours or their best friend's son or daughter's 1st birthday party don't want to hear about his marathon MTG session or day trip to a historical tourist railway... and most of the time he knows this and just says that his weekend wasn't bad.

Working in stem and academia you encounter plenty of old fellas with classic autism but they were of the generation where their families just sighed, did their best to give him basic socialisation and manners to get him through necessary human interaction and found him a career that utilised his special interest then sent him on his way to live an independent adult life. They didn't need a diagnosis or special accommodation in a society that was on the one hand fairly prescriptive and rigid but on the other perfectly capable of accommodating people of all classes and abilities as long as they were socially conforming. They lead a small, limited life but they're usually as happy as any of us could hope to be as long as they understand the rules and have their routine and they hyperfixate on their work so they're at least an asset in the workplace as long as they don't have to manage humans and HR never tries to make them.
We have one who as far as I can tell lives entirely on toast, came in to work as normal after his house had burned down and is generally a polite old gent and reliable worker, who just sometimes has to sperg about trains.
I don't think they orientate autismos like this towards independence these days; more accommodation and more safety nets leads to lower expectations. We've not become more progressive and inclusive by breaking down the structure of stuffy old social customs evolved over centuries, and how we give speds, homos and other off-model types labels & pride flags instead of actual acceptance and integration is yet another example of the general decline and enshittification of western culture. More speds on welfare is not progress when we used to be able to find productive little roles for them in the workforce and community.
Tl;dr: We used to be a proper country, with real autists.
-The prodigy (aka the bing bong theory kind): They have high IQ and a great deal of knowledge and interest in a certain field, their ability makes them able in some cases to lead a succesful life doing what they love, of course it depends on said ability: an autist that loves to draw or has a special interest in ancient history or classic literature will face a greater challenge than an autist whose ability is math/computers/mechanics/chemistry...
-The cyborg: They have a combination of normal to high IQ and the external signs of autism are either lower than the usual aspie or they have learned to mask them. I call them cyborgs because they don't see people as normies do, they don't understand why normies act or the reason the rules are so "illogical" (at least according to their autistic criteria), they see people as black boxes that after many years of trial and error and in many cases bullying have learned how to interact with. In their eyes most people are like machines that must be interacted with in a certain way in order to avoid damage, as you can imagine many of them have negative views on people so a high chunk of them subscribe to weird ideologies that "make sense" to them. Many people that enjoys antinatalism/communism/anarchocapitalism/extreme nationalism/religious fanaticism or whatever bad thing that terminates on "ism" belongs to this category as said stupid ideologies makes the world seem "more coherent".
-The animal: They have negative IQ and attack you if you make a noise they don't like.

-The hybrid abomination (Half normie and half cyborg with the worst of both worlds): aka the very thin line: They are on the very thin line that separates normies to autists. Dislike other sperg's extremately long rants and hates normies even if he looks like one.
