Cloud storage doesn't solve the problem of not being able to just copy files from one computer I own to another computer I own. Pulling them from Backup Explorer isn't difficult, it's just surprising there isn't a quick go-to open source thing with a big "COPY FILEZ" button

Ever heard of a USB thumb drive?

I get that you want to massively overcomplicate things, but man, quit bitching if you’re too stupid to just set up File Sharing on those machines of yours so they can just talk directly to each other.

I can't help but disagree. Yes, the M4 is faster than M1, but Pentium 1 to Core 2 Duo is like the C2D to M1. I don't think you're being serious. I sometimes use an M1 and it's just fine, I also personally have an M4 MBA and it's similarly capable.

I backtrack my statement, Safari loads it hit or miss. I'm talking Mac Safari, on iPadOS and iOS it does fine. Firefox is instantaneous for me, flawless Farms viewing. Safari 26.4, Firefox 149 for reference 🤓

I upgraded for av1 decode and better cpu performance. As my Mac mini is in the living room it is the main media player in the house and i will sometimes want to game on it and the M1 cpu is always the bottleneck. I repurposed my M1 mini into a headless server so it now handles my pihole and nginx as well as a few other services I wanted to get off my main server. At least this way I can take the server down without negatively affecting my network.
 
What's the best way (if any) to transfer my app bundles from iPhone to my Mac (same account obv)? It used to be simple ages ago, but atm the only option I found is iMazing, and it doesn't quite do that.
 
Does anyone here use macOS? If so, I want to know what it is like browsing the farms on a MacBook. Is it better than Windows or no different?

Of course it’s better than Windows, it isn’t Windows.
As a browser Safari works fine. No issues on KF. I’d call it unremarkable. I use Firefox because I prefer vertical tabs.

From what I gather though, a lot of the former just opted to replace their audio equipment with TB equivalents when they upgraded anyway, and the latter consisted almost entirely of Dave Plummer.

Even then they can find used ones or will hang on to what they have already. Every recording studio I've been in (3) were still running the pre trash can pros because they still just worked.
