I have had the realization that most criticism of Apple is petty, and only because they are popular while most critics point to how they do not allow repair, even though Samsung does the same. most critics will point to the closed nature as a disadvantage but fail to point out how they will say Apple fans are sheep while being sheep themselves who repeat the same dumb talking points. Wolfgang perfectly pointed this out in his video about why he switched to Mac. Hating Apple is the new Hating Nickleback. little reasoning, but just because it's popular. I am guilty of this. I wanted to be seen as cool and popular, so I hated Apple, but now I know the truth. Even Richard Stallman's reasoning for hating Apple is so dumb he hates them because they don't pay taxes. and the lack of repairability, which even the biggest Apple fanboys admit, even people like Luke Smith call Apple bad because they all macbooks look the same, even though all thinkpads look the same, and Macs have custom cases you can get.

Hating Apple is stupid. Apple is good.

Then subscribe to Apple Arcade if you like them.

Apple is the Bette Davis of tech companies.
Maybe if I didn't also need their devices I don't want. I'd rather them just make a gaming device, I don't want their overpriced stuff I'd only use for gaming anyway.

I do not want to live in their walled garden. My wants, needs, and paranoia's are too retarded to live happily in their ecosystem.

That said, Apple have crafted a fantastic end user experience for what the vast majority of people want out of their computing devices.
Apples user experience provides (at the surface level) exactly what regular people with little to no understanding of computers, believe that modern computers should provide.
And they do it in a sufficiently secure manner that makes it hard for knuckledragging retards to do shit that endangers their cybersecurity.

Most non-tech people who hold this negative bias about Apple either don't like their brand positioning (thats fair, they're super pretentious) or they are still hung up on the shortcomings of apple from 10-20 years ago.

Would the world be better if everyone had to understand their computers? Probably, but that's not the reality we live in.

Think? Microsoft doesn't mind putting GamePass on non-Microsoft devices. Other companies should follow suit.
Apples and oranges, no pun intended. Making a game on a console/PC is different from making a game on a phone. Apple's OS is prioritary. Maximize compatibility by knowing their own specs while keeping their profits and minimizing app certification.

Jokes on you i don't like either of those company's so it's not bandwagoning or simping. I can go on about how they're both bad in the same and different ways but that would be tldr. I prefer green apples anyway.

You can just use a virtual machine.

I find it too restrictive. There's a balancing act between user friendliness and customization. I like windows for computers and android for devices. I find I can do what I want to do and it's user friendly enough for me. Anytime I've tried to use apple I get frustrated because I try to do something or change something and it won't let me. Then I google for ages trying to figure out a work around and it ends up being to convoluted to be worth it.

I have a friend who uses apple exclusively and they always ask for my help when something goes wrong. Fixing a problem on apple is way harder than on windows. When something goes wrong on windows, if I don't know how to fix it, it only takes 5 min on Google to figure it out and fix it. Apple is a pain in the ass to fix. It really seems like their strategy for problems is "there shouldn't be a problem in the first place". Or the problem is caused by some bullshit. Like I can't buy something on an app. It just says declined but doesn't say why. You talk to apple and they say "not our fault" talk to your bank. You talk to the bank and they say "there's no problem on our end". After looking online for ages you find out a different app updated and deleted your billing address from that fucking app so your card doesn't work on any other fucking app. Your card is still saved and all the details are correct except there's no billing address. The app you're using to buy something has no option to add a billing address and doesn't even ask for one. You have to log in to apple pay or whatever the fuck it's called. Delete your card and add it again for some reason because editing the billing address doesn't fix the problem for some fucking reason even though it should. No one tells you this. Apple insists it's not their fault. You only find this out on some random forum on page 30 of google. Once you delete and add your card on apple pay it works again.

If you're not a paranoid retard like me the fix is: call apple. Give some pajeet remote access to your device. They fix it. Usually by uninstalling your apps and reinstalling them then inputing your details back into each one. You trust a random pajeet who probably doesn't get paid much to have full access to your device and not do anything weird. I guess most people that have apples do this and that's why there's no info online.

Just because other companies copy a shit idea doesn't make the idea any less shit.

What does this even fucking mean? What does people calling people sheep have to do with the valid criticism over apple shit for being to closed off. I don't like Apple because there pretentious, I hate the os, there extremely anti consumer, repair is impossible, and the fact they sweep problems under the rug until they get sued E.g. the butterfly keyboard. just cause some retard also parrots those point does make them not true.
Apple makes great looking product, when they work, and I've heard there unmatched when it comes to editing and music but I'm not interested in that stuff so there not for me.
I fucking love classic ipods though and have like 10.
