Haven’t caught up on the thread yet, but I’m waiting for EZScape to suddenly mourn for Apollo after throwing him under the bus as many times as possible.

Love watching opportunistic YouTubers flip flop between condemning someone, and then pretending about how much they cared about them after they pass.

I generally agree with Apollo on most things. Having two faced "friends" and a crippling disease during 2020. Can't even really blame the guy. He considered Keemstar a good friend at this point.

Thank you for trying to help. I really can't beileve this. I don't care what anyone has to say about this or the speedrunning community. He wasn't a bad kid and didn't deserve this.
Also viper is a faggot and EZ is ok I guess.

Sucks that he's dead, but man, but if Youtube drama is really what destroyed his soul then homeboy's number was going to come up eventually

It was my understanding from talking to Apollo that the settlement out of court with Billy was tantamount to a complete loss. Billy is incredibly litigious, as has been pointed out, so he's very experienced in court and has excellent lawyers. Apollo, on the other hand, showed his inexperience hard by trying to troll Billy about the situation IRL, making public videos about the proceedings, and hiring a dud of a lawyer (as far as I know).

Certainly, those blunders were Apollo's own fault, but the fact is that Billy's million-dollar defamation lawsuit against him largely succeeding is a failure of justice.

oh, don't get me wrong, i'm not defending Bill by saying he has no responsability over his suicide, he's still the most cancerous figure in a scene full of autists and retards, but financially speaking afaik it didn't hurt him that much, if at all, and his reputation was only damaged due to how badly he handled the lawsuit and even there only a small minority of the community even cared to call him out, he's hardly a factor
 
The backlash that the speedrunning community is going to feel from this is going to be unprecedented.
