People keep telling me "keep trying, you'll find funny stuff" but all the stuff I find on that app isn't that funny to me. What's the point of this app?

Super sword fighter is right. It's kind of like how statistics show most drug addicts were introduced to their drug of choice before they turned 18. If you're introduced to retarded shit when you're young or repeatedly over long periods eventually your neurochemistry will adapt and you'll grow to like the retarded shit.

Not liking tiktok is just a sign that you haven't developed the necessary tolerance to stupid fucking garbage.

I've heard people who are addicted to TikTok say they no longer have the patience to watch a 30 minute episode of whatever.
Like they're training their brains to be ADD.
It's fucking weird.

Friends and family like to share "funny videos" and I end up just watching them with a blank expression most of the time. Tiktok is just quantity over quality, and even the quality ones are just reuploads from other platforms. Overall it's just a time waster and another reason for me to hate social media, and people that like it seem to be developmentally challenged adults and teenagers which tells me all I need to know.

We're probably just getting old.

The generation I grew up in had our own form of weird shit we all enjoyed that adults never understood. Then we grew up and now here we are looking at the current generation of weird shit kids enjoy which we don't understand.

Then this new generation will grow up and the process will repeat itself all over again until the apocalypse.

Then aliens will uncover our destroyed civilization where they'll unearth a ancient computer and find this and they'll attempt to decipher why ancient humanity thought that shit was hilarious.
