Anyone on here have much experience DIY with dishwasher installation? I balked at the 200 dollarinos install fee and went for the free drop-off delivery instead.

Getting the old one out was thankfully straightforward. Have a wall outlet to plug the new one in (behind the unit), and already have the new drain and water supply lines.

It's a Bosch, because apparently on the Germans know how to make a dishwasher anymore.

Also, fuck the greens and their black false messiah Obama for making dishwashers all suck.

Well I hope you know what wires are labeled, since I would presume you have one that's got the three wires and presumably you have it shut off from your switch. It should be as straightforward as removing the older one. Just have the trim pieces transplanted over to the new one so it looks good when you press it into the hole.

Pay the $200 next time and forget about it.

EDIT: Don't DIY appliances like this unless you have a background in the trades or friends who know this stuff. It's easy to fuck up and cause problems.
Fuck this guy, I do all mine myself including my gas stove, it isn’t hard at all, even a retard like me can do it.

1. Pull old dishwasher out a bit (skip this step if you already have access to wall outlet).
2. Unplug old dishwasher from the wall.
3. Undo the water inlet and drainage connectors.
4. Pull old dishwasher out the rest of the way.

Installing new dishwasher is a reverse of pulling out the old one. It's not hard. If a mong like me can change over an old dishwasher for a new one, anyone can.

If it wasn't a straight swap, yeah sure. Shit like new power outlets and water/drainage connections should probably be done by pros - even if you know how to do it yourself, there could be ramifications later on down the track with warranty, insurance etc.

But if all you're doing is swapping the dishwasher over, even a monkey can do that. It's no harder than changing over a washing machine if the connections are already there.
