Waste of Daniel in Atlantis. They should have called up Jonas since he is partially responsible for the finding Lost City of the Ancients.
Daniel should have been the leader of Atlantis, not Woolsey. And speaking of Jonas, him not being in 200 was a massive mistake, as it would have had every single SG-1 member in one episode (not counting the scrubs in 6x01, like the dude hit with a tranq dart)
I really shouldn't shit on Woolsey, because I really did like his growth over the series. From being a complete bastard in Heroes part 2, to being a morally gray dick in Inauguration, to being a dickish but well meaning wimp to being a hero was great, and Robert Picardo is a treat in everything he does, the man has such insane range. I loved Woolsey and Jack being stuck on Asuran occupied Atlantis, BUT THAT BEING SAID....he was a terrible fit for the leader of the expedition. Carter, as much as I hate post season 8 Sam, was the best leader they had.
And this is petty as fuck but the fact they made a clip show in the last season and him Saul Goodman his way out the issue was peak cringe.
Although they did cause Michael to wreak havok, so maybe the courtroom shit had a point.

No I haven't. Might check it out if Teryl is in it.
YUUUUUP.

What's wrong with Season 5 of Atlantis?

https://youtube.com/watch?v=X3Bz7VIPvac
Funny fact: when they shot that episode it was just announced the show was ending, so McKay being irritable was really the actor being upset.
I do like SOME episodes of 5. The Daedalus Variations was fun as hell, and the Asgard 2 parter was great shit. I also like the all woman team episode, but the rest? Its....so stupid. Keller turning into wraith ship? Dumb. McKay becoming a kid? Oscar bait shit. Hallucination aliens? Stupid. A trial for the team? Neat idea but its the worst clip show in the series. Ronin becoming a Wraith worshipper for a moment? Dumb, Tyre was a shit villain who (of course) became a hero at the end. Keller body swap? Predictable dogshit. Keller and McKay with Bill Nye and De Grasse Tyson? Fanfic garbage. Replicator Weir? Pointless. Keller kidnapped? Stupid and ANOTHER FUCKING KELLERSODE.
Its just....so weak and badly written. Even SG-1 Season 10 wasn't THIS bad. It had a ton of stinkers but when I can easily skip about 75% of the season and not feel like I missed anything, thats a sign you fucked up the writing. People shit on season 4 but I had fun with it. You could tell the energy from season 3 (which is the best season) was still there, but the fire was fading.
Also you could tell they rushed through the series to get to Universe, because they didn't even make an Atlantis movie. Holy fuck was a disaster.

If MGM wasn't bankrupt at the time, we could have had a completely different outcome. It all just died in an unsatisfactory manner. T

The only good thing is I got to watch Stargate for 14 years. Which was a good run.

and he was overacting way too much.
The Deadalus Variations was probably the only good episode.
Replicator Weir? Pointless.
What they did to Weir as a character was really dumb. I bet they did it as a way to own Higginson. She was right to leave the show, they really gave her nothing to do for several seasons.

Was it really rushed? They still found a way to make a clip show episode. As for the Atlantis movie, they could have made one later like they did with SG-1.
That being said, you have to remember that MGM was going bankrupt around that time while Syfy was also changing their programming from science-fiction series/movies to WWE and reality shows, so it was probably a miracle that they got a second season of SGU.

have we mentioned the best scene in the series yet

The original order was for two seasons.

Does anyone else remember Russel T Davies bitching about Robert Carlyle doing Stargate and belittling the Stargate because he wanted him to be Doctor Who?

Another random thought, but I don't recall ever finding Carter attractive. I'm sure at some point there was something but nothing sticks out. Unlike plenty of other women who appeared on the show. Even now, seeing Claudia Black is in the new Spartacus, despite her now being much older I am like, okay...

Also similar with Teyla. She was meant to be more of a sex symbol team member but I don't have any recollection of that doing anything for me. Not that I was watching the show for that kind of stimulation but there were plenty of attractive women on the show over the years and you notice.

I didn't know that. I'm glad he was in Stargate and not Doctor Who. I liked him on the show, he and Louis Ferreira were a great duo.

Carter has to be nerfed though, as she is Air Force personnel. It would actually raise more questions if her hair wasn't regulation friendly. She's also written like Geordi 90% of the time, so isn't doing anything sexual.

sg1 vagina.mp4
As much as I dislike the last part of season 10, the sheer discomfort on Teal'c's face makes me laugh every time. SG-1 comedy bits are still hilarious even to this day.

No offense but you might be gay

Teyla and Weir are decently attractive, as is Keller, but in my honest opinion the hottest woman in Atlantis is Amelia Banks from the last 2 seasons.

The funniest thing about Carter is the few moments she is sexual it feels so awkward and strange. But that makes me like her, compared to Vala's constant sex jokes.

Man. I've got some stargate opinions right now but no time to write them out.

Oh boy, Atlantis. What are you doing?? Get ready for my complaints about Tao of Rodney, The Game, The Ark, Sunday and Submersion.
I like Tao of Rodney, its fun and isn't embarrassing like the Shrine. The Ark is a fun idea but kinda sloppy in execution. The Game is neat and the idea of Rodney making all the women dress like Sam is genius but again a tad sloppy. Submersion is so forgettable I barely remember the plot tbh.
As for Sunday I outright fucking DESPISE it
