You mean you don't like Keller turning into a hive ship, or replicator weir coming back as the 3rd actress to play her, or have Bill Nye and Neil DeGrasse Tyson solve global warming? At least Tayla found her baby.
Bro the amount of Mckay and Keller glazing was insufferable. I get her having spotlight episodes in season 4 because shes new, but devoting SO MUCH TIME to her and Rodney getting together was unbearable.
Honestly I cannot believe how badly the ball was dropped. Sheppard got no development. Ronin got barely any development. It was all McKay episodes like the oscar bait regression episode or the Bill Nye episode.
We COULD have had several loose ends tied up, like maybe a cure to the Hoffan Drug, or, and hear me out on this one, FIND AIDEN FORD SOME CLOSURE. The very fact they showed him in 501 as a hallucination was such an insult. You couldn't bother to have an episode where you find him and either kill him off for good or wean him off the wraith enzyme and have him rejoin the expedition? Its not like he was important or anything, just, you know, A MAIN FUCKING CHARACTER. So much time was wasted with dogshit like the bodyswap episode, or the wraith ship episode.
Also, for the record, Torri Higginson fucking sucked as Weir. The blonde in Sg-1 was such a good actress, and I hate how they never addressed the fact Weir went from blonde to black hair. At least SG-1 tried to make Michael Shanks look like James Spader.

Ending of Atlantis was pretty hilarious. We are going home. Bye! Wraiths? They are not our problem anymore. Good Luck I guess.
Double posting but the funniest thing is Teyla's baby daddy being stuck in the Pegasus Galaxy.
And look, I know the city being in SF harbor was resolved in a book but nigga it doesn't help with such a dogshit ending. Also I love it Ronin died for 5 seconds. What a fucking disaster.
But hey, at least Universe will be worth it-(Universe becomes a massive trainwreck that kills the franchise) oh.
Also Origin was woke trash.

Okay... on the topic of Atlantis.

It is the "whale" episode. These super whales start flocking to Atlantis and through a very convoluted plot about genetic memory, save Atlantis from a solar flare. Yeah... points for effort. But the whole thing was too out there and the plot points didn't tie together well. But that's okay because...

The next episode was a Richard Kind episode! Yay! This time he has a invulnerability shield and is running another scam to get some sweet sweet tiddies. The last episode was fun and so was this one. It wasn't good... no no no. But it was FUN. Even better, Koyla showed up again as well! This episode was more in line with Stargate than most of Atlantis so far. I'd recommend it. Weir was barely in it. Awesome! The bad news? Probably not going to see Robert Davi again as Koyla... oh well. Two more before I can go back to SG-1!

SG-1 is by far my favorite long running sci-fi show. The last of an era where so much was done on sound stages vs green screen. They hit all the classic story types over the lifetime of the show. Star Trek might be all about not interfering meanwhile Stargate is all about arming any civilization with exploitable resources with guns. The Jaffa even commented on not wanting to be reliant on the humans for ammo. One day I will buy a P90 thanks to it being used in the show.

People love to say that SGU killed the franchise with the whole relationship/drama stuff but this was already in the last 2 seasons of Atlantis and it was just as badly written, if not worse.
Im not disagreeing, the shift from space adventure to gritty drama was so fucking jarring.
Im just bitter all the funds that made Universe could have made an Atlantis or an O',Neill movie, but no they absolutely HAD to ripoff BSG.
I consider sg-1 seasons 3-7 and Atlantis seasons 2-4 to be peak sci-fi, with the rest weaker if not outright terrible

I cannot take the Lucian Alliance seriously as a threat and any characters that do are less credible to me.

That's a big flaw.

A threat for one episode or a two-parter? Sure. A whole show? Get the hell out of here.
The writers should have made them an actual threat in SG-1 instead of portraying them as some kind of clownish space drug cartel. Then again they never thought about the balance of power once the Goa'ulds were gone.

As lame as SG1 may have gotten , at least they didnt have Tealc getting cucked by his son.
Bro Christopher Judge's episodes are ALL terrible, and all of them fallow the same plot: Teal'c has this major issue to deal with and fucks a random chick. The Jaffa chick who held Tanith, the OTHER Jaffa chick who led the warrior Jaffa chicks, the random girl he saves from an abusive dick, its all the same shit. Even Ronin had a more dignified GF with the random tech who knew martial arts.
I will say him losing Junior was an underrated episode.

Realistically if the major System lords were dead, all the smaller chicken shit ones would scramble to take hold and begin building power. I mean it happens in drug cartels and war lords in Africa, so why not have a season where the smaller system lords get picked off one by one by the SGC? Have an episode where Zippacna gets killed and another where Amaterasu (who is extremely hot BTW) gets defeated. Instead they were all wiped out by either Anubis or the Replicators. Which KINDA makes sense but also, SOME system lords should still be a threat even after the Jaffa rebel against them. I love season 8 but they really should never had made Moebius. It should have been a major episode where Ba'al kills the rest of the smaller System Lords and tries one last hail mary as the final boss of SG-1 and gets killed in a grand fashion. But we had shitty nerd Carter and Daniel getting hit on a faggot. What a fucking waste. At least Jack and Sam hook up.

Okay confession time: I like Lucious Laven. I like him as a foil to Shepard. Richard Kind is such a treat, and Laven is such a shithead you can't help but love him. Also I might be jealous of him almost nailing Weir and Teyla in a threesome....maybe a little.
Kolya was a fantastic villain. He was ruthless, smart and genuinely scary at times. A real threat that seems to always be one step ahead. God I love Robert Davi.
This is why I love season 3: its really doesn't have any real stinkers. Even the whale episode is pretty unique as a concept.
Also final warning: you will hate the episode Sunday. You'll know why when you get there...

Keller was probably the worst reoccurring character in all of stargate. She was like 26/27 as the chief medical officer on one of the most important assignments one could have and was always whiny and full of self doubt. Compare that to Dr. Frasier who came off as professional and competent.

Well, that's the thing. The System Lords, Replicators, AND Anubis all get ganked in the same episodes. Suddenly there are no more threats and then get told they got renewed for another season. So now there's no overwhelming threat to push against until they bring in the Ori and the Ori are really boring because their Priors don't have personality.

My main issues were yes she's whiny but also, SHE EATS SO MUCH SCREEN TIME. I know exactly why, because her actress was in Firefly but them pushing her and McKay was such a low IQ move. Frasier grew on me man, I used to dislike her but she could kick ass and was competent. Her being replaced by the cunty Dr in season 9 was awful (and she was only cast because she was Michael Shanks wife)

The Ori being evil Ancients were terrible. The ironic part is the Asurans could have been a perfect version of evil nazi Ancients but they blew it with them being Replicators. I do like the fact the Ori are essentially Islamists, and its a different kind of evil god villain.
Also I wanna smash Adria.

Also, the Ori are massive cheaters. All the shenanigans they do should illicit a response from the Ancients, but they do nothing.

And the hottest woman on television in two decades.
I unironically had a massive crush on Carter when I was a teen. I still do, she's everything I want in a woman: hot as the sun, kicks ass, smart as a whip, can kill me.
As for Frasier, I wish I was this guy.

Not shitting on the writers, but the Ancients are all like "OH NO we can't interfere because that's be an abuse of power" I get them not stopping Anubis because it really won't affect them, but the Ori tried to kill the Ancients. Like, are you are fucking dumb? This is Canada level mindset bullshit here with the "If we kill our enemies they win"
The Ancients might be geniuses, but they are fucking dumb.

The real issue is that the writers didn't have the guts to keep Beckett dead so they ended up having 2 doing the same thing.

I like the dynamic she had with Landry.

Don't forget the Asgards. They could have continued to work on a way to get their normal bodies back but no, let's have a suicide pact and give all their technology to the humans.
Meanwhile in the Pegasus galaxy the Asgard are bad guys.

Bro evil Asgardians was such a cool idea, but just like everything in late Atlantis it was shunned for more slop. FUCK I despise season 5 so much....except like 4 episodes.

Waste of Daniel in Atlantis. They should have called up Jonas since he is partially responsible for the finding Lost City of the Ancients.
