My old pair finally broke after two years, and I don't like their current design. I tried buying a pair that looked good from Amazon, but I ended up having to return them because they were really uncomfortable, so I figured I'd ask if anyone had any recommendations.
1) Comfortable to wear for 8+ hours.
2) Has enough battery to last for 8+ hours.
3) Preferably one of the kind with the cable-neckband connecting the two earbuds, since those seem to have better battery life.
4) About $50 max.
I don't need something super-fancy, just something that will let me listen to music/streams/podcasts while at work without making my ears feel like they're going to fall off. Anyone know any good ones?
sony WI-XB400 might be what you're looking for, that's what i use. i had those exact pair of linklikes, they're about the same but you have different size rubber earpieces available.

Bluetooth is the devil's protocol and nothing good comes from it.
I feel the same way about Bluetooth ear buds as I do about Bluetooth mice and keyboards. Shit is retarded. I've had a wireless mouse and keyboard before and the first time they stopped working while I was in the middle of something due to the battery running out I realised it was fully gay. Just use wired.
I know this isn't a helpful post so sorry about that. I still think you should get wired headphones instead though.
Anything made by Sennheiser is gold, tho kinda expensive, still, I got some CX-400bt for about 50 bucks last month and they sound pretty good for the money.

I like Bluetooth headphones where the two earpieces are connected by a wire, but that's it. I use these at work. I often have to get in and out of the machines I operate. "Wireless" headsets how I like enable this. The issue with wired headphones is that dang wire. It snags on stuff and is constrictive, depending on how I need to move.
Yeah, running out of battery sucks, so I keep more than one pair around.
I buy cheap, low-end stuff. Contemporary DACs built into the BT modules are way better than most audiophools give them credit for.
