The issue needs to be dealt with for what it is: terrorism. These people are terrorizing hordes of people by unleashing (literal) plagues upon the populaces of countries worldwide. Their heinous actions need to be halted.

Saying how he always took his previous pets to "holistic pet healing" events instead of the vet. About how sure, the events cost like $800 to go, but that's because they teach you how to heal your pet with oils and rubs and such. It's so expensive because they only need to see you once and never again because your lucky pet will be healthy for life and you'll never need to come back.

Guy gave me a piece of paper with a bunch of names of books and websites scrawled on it, then told me that instead of paying his wife back completely, he was instead going to pay $500-600 of it for "healing" of his dog's dental issues.

Fucking nuts.

Also, the dog's name was "Daysprings" or something.

Obviously this idiot has been lucky to never have to deal with heartworm, parvo, distemper, or rabies. All of which are horrifying to deal with.
 
I know I said this before, but I'll say this again:

What's wrong with Autism? Why is it so bad that you'd choose death or it? Even if they caused Autism, is that HALF as bad as dying?

As someone that takes something that, legitimately, can kill you for one reason or another (granted I don't get allergies to it again), I can say for certain those shots are preferred over getting the diseases that can get. They aren't the ones repeatedly getting sick, and that's what bothers me. If they take OTC drugs but dismiss THIS, I would just lose it.

(Fun fact: Every year people die from Tylenol overdoses because its everywhere. Whereas vaccines kill less per year)

They probably think autism is living hell for their kids on something. In reality, it could speak on them being shit parents or thinking the government or big pharma wants control or kill us.

Although I don't think anti-vaxxers know about the lolcows that we make fun of here, the fear that their kid will grow up to be like Chris or Phil is nothing something they'd want at all. Granted, vaccines will not cause that to happen for the most part, despite their delusions.
 
Chris and Phil aren't the way they are soley because of autism though. It's autism plus shitty parenting.

Even then, that's just a fear considering that's not the norm. Those people are like that because they are. They just happen to have the disorder.

They'd still be cows without it.
 
It's not logical thought, where A follows to B.

Anti-vaxxers, by and large, aren't thinking: " I wouldn't want my kid to be a helmet-wearing autist, therefore I won't get him/her vaccinated and take that risk".

They're conspiracists and egoists, they reject vaccinations not because of the autism concern (that's just a fall back position when questioned), they really reject it for the reasons all conspiracists and egoist thinkers reject something. The idea that a common, institutionalized procedure everyone has done is actually HARMFUL fits their worldview wherein every large organization is out to get them, every government, business and media outlet is "in" on it, the populace are as helpless as sheep before them, but they, the conspiracist, is too smart to fall for it! HA! NICE TRY, POWERS-THAT-BE!!!! YOU"LL NEVER TAKE ME ALIVE!!!

Vaxxers have a lot of overlap with religious fundies, hardcore rightists, anti-big buisnessers, homeopaths, and conspiracy nutters, they don't check the numbers, they don't CARE what the numbers say, all they care is this SOUNDS like validation to them, its' why you can't effectively argue with them, they go off the rails into chemtrail/illuminati gibberish pretty quick. The hardcore AVax ers, I don't really feel for, they're nuts, it's the sane people who hear about them topically and don't bother to look into it who think they're on to something that are really going to cause all the damage.
 
Worst I saw was that they weren't even arguing over it being a public health issue, but over fucking political reasons. "It's my choice the government shouldn't tell me what to do." Which is fine, as long as they accept that they should stay under house arrest where their delusions of that everything they do only affects them and no one else works. And if I tried telling them about how they were just acting as vectors for disease, they would just spout "muh herd immunity". Fortunately, I doubt they were parents because it was /pol/.
