Doug is also unironically far more mature then Anthony is. I can't think of a single time Doug had a multi hour long Twitter meltdown about political crap or fans mocking him. Fantano on the other hand is infamous for his social media meltdowns. When the #changethechannel stuff happened he was mostly silent outside of a post on his website about it. Fantano would have lashed out and sperged on twitter for hours about it while Doug was mature enough to know that would have only made things worse.

Just an aside, Doug legitimately seems like a good person and didn't deserve all the hate he got for not always making the funniest videos. Sure the guy is silly and over the top but so what? He clearly is passionate about what he does and is a cool person too.

I can't say that I know for certain, but my understanding was that "woke" came from black vernacular (it definitely sounds like it comes from black vernacular, with its wonky grammar and all that).
