We're coming up on 4 years since the original Fantano vs Fader saga, aren't we? I don't think he bought himself very much time in the grand scheme of things. When you concede to the mob once, you become vulnerable to it happening again in future, and the Twittertards are so cancel-happy lately I think it's only a matter of time before Fantano is made persona non grata for one of the following:
- Going too far during one of his rage-fuelled Twitter rants when people criticise his reviews, triggering a black person or woman or troon (or all three) who doesn't like what he said about one of their albums, and being deemed "problematic" (He's come close to this already after a few of his rap reviews and his Fiona Apple review last year)
- Some of his old Thatistheplan videos resurfacing and going viral on social media and, despite the whole scandal having already happened, him getting re-cancelled for something edgy he said or did
- The trendy thing for internet famous men these days: He gets randomly accused of some vague sexual misconduct by either an ex or some random fan who alleges to have slept with him. It will be something dumb and unprovable like a "power imbalance", "coersion", or just retroactive revoking of consent, and Fantano will admit to it like a faggot, make some long-winded apology about "trying to be better", and get cancelled anyway

If you are an avid listener of music that doesn't consist of Spotify listens I think it's evident that this guy is an enemy of the art. All it takes is one glimpse of this guys fashion sense and you can see the mid-life crisis, it seems insecure. Very few people actually think of themsevles as being liberals or conservatives, and same goes for these corporative main stream musicians he covers. You can play the "everything is politcal" game all you want, but besides social media posturing to be on the correct tribe, most people related to the entertainment industry, even in LA, will tell you that in their privacy, the vast majority of these artists don't care at all about politics, so why would their political aligment even matter in their artistic output.
Tehn again, I know baldy over here is just trying to get a rise out of people, who are already making lists of conservative musicians to rebuke the fag, so why even bother. If he really belives being a liberal, more so the shallow, self centered LA liberal is what makes music great, fine, enjoy it Fantano, you can have it.

Fantano strikes me as someone that's on a very similar level to moviebob. At heart, he's a naturally shitty person with his head jammed deeply up his own ass. He provides no real value to society whatsoever, and yet he has a galactic ego. Also similar to moviebob, there is just something really weird and off-putting about his face. The modern age has gifted him with a shield that he and many other weirdos can hide behind. That shield allows them to continue acting like human garbage without suffering any real consequences for their behavior. All you have to do is profess that you're a staunch leftist, and whatever you do is deemed a-ok, because society has memed leftism into meaning that you're a good hearted person that cares about the world and the little guy, etc. If you're a Good Person™, then anyone you attack is clearly a Bad Person™ (probably one of those subhuman right wingers we've all heard about in popular culture).
