I think since his death people have really put him on a pedestal as if he was some sort of intellectual or high-brow comedian, when in reality he was just a very opinionated and funny dude who was about 20 IQ points smarter than everyone in the room expected him to be. And I say this as a fan.
Very funny comedian, very entertaining on the radio. But he wasn't anything more.
He should be on a pedestal because he was very often the only guy in that room who actually held himself to his own principles. His willingness to be petty and say "fuck you" to people was phenomenal.

Newer comedians have made me retroactively hate past comedians since it's allowed me to see through their cosplaying bullshit. I can't imagine paying several hundred dollars to sit up front at a Burr or Chappelle show to hear about how hard publicly funded niggers have it since birth.
I miss the tough guy Danny that would endlessly call people pussies and how he would fuck everyone up if they came chin to the top of his head with him... and this is what he looks like. The weakest invalid in the OnA forem crowd would make him a paraplegic.
That stupid fucking Guitar Hero competition remains one of the best pieces of audio I have ever heard. Anthony pulling the power cord and trying to play it off was so childish. I laugh my ass off every time I remember he did that.
