With 18.4% of its ~578,000 identifying as Black, Ant's adopted home of Greenville County, SC, is on track to have a larger Black population than his old home of Suffolk County, NY. Congrats to Black people and Anthony

I’ve had virulent racists tell me that “Blacks in the south know their place and are more polite.” No idea if true. But I can imagine Ant using that as a cope.

I’m convinced SiriusXM’s revenue model is to entice people with rates like $4 a month for six months, then hope people don’t notice right away when that six months ends and the rates get jacked up to $30 a month and then make it nigh impossible to cancel their subscription. Many cases of people too lazy to check their bank balances and unknowingly continue to subscribe to all kinds of shit. Most gyms stay open because people pay fees and don’t work out. Same concept.

That hasn’t been true in a long time. Check out the crime rates in these Deep South areas.

He’s not wrong here. Who is honestly paying for Sirius when you have Spotify and Apple Music. Hell I have Apple Music and I have more variety on it than I would with Sirius xm.
It's pretty good when you just want to throw some music on without having to mess with anything and you're getting it cheap. YouTube Music and Spotify are absolutely terrible about playing the same shit that you've liked recently and very often will not play anything outside of your bubble. They're also terrible about sticking to a particular genre in my experience (If I play 80s alternative, I don't want Kylie Minogue mixed in.) Sirius is especially enticing for that reason if you have Android and are getting YouTube Music or Spotify's premium features for free for those times when you want to listen to music on demand, listen to an album, or throw on a Playlist. Plus, if the station that you're listening to has good DJs, you can learn a lot about the various artists and find out if certain bands are on tour without having to go out of your way to manually check it out. There have been concerts that I've been to that I would not have known about were it not for Sirius.

But yeah, you shouldn't pay any more than around 10 bucks a month for it, and preferably even less than that.

I don't disagree with you. My father has a Sonos system so he uses the account with me for it. I just feel like these days whose paying for Sirius when there are cheaper alternatives out there.

I'm not sure I would pay for it if I had to pay for YouTube Music, but thankfully YouTube Music Revanced/Revanced Extended Music exists for Android and this works for Windows and Linux:

Really, I just split my time across three different Music apps depending on what I want: Sirius for music without the need to interact with the app, YouTube Music for manually playing songs, albums, and playlists, and Pandora for a customized radio that, unlike YouTube Music and Spotify, is actually good at tailoring the music to me while sticking to one goddamn genre.

On topic: Haven't kept up with Anthony in a while but looking at him having a stage show with Gavin McInnes, I think they might be proving that alt-lite grifting has become as milquetoast as spouting mainstream right or left talking points.

It’s just embracing to see what he has become. Opie is no better than him, he was just smarter with his money than Anthony was. Every time I watch a video of Opie he comes off‘s bitter with how things have ended.

Almost seems like a reflection of how our culture has gone after the long 2000s. I get reminded of how a lot of left-wing comics and TV hosts that were reasonably well respected in the long 2000s (Patton Oswalt and Sarah Silverman come to mind) went off the fucking deep end once we entered the mid-2010s.

In some ways I’d rather deal with a negative Nelly than a pedophile any day.
> in some ways

It’s funny watching certain OnA guys get themselves worked up over Cumia on AM radio. One of them said “The only thing that makes sense is what the Opester said, actually--they're trying to keep him and plan to do more with him in the future.”

Which is exactly what Anthony said they are doing, and he said this a month ago. Specifically, that the Sunday nights are a trial run to see where he’d be most profitably placed.
