Someone on the old O&A subreddit speculated that if the show actually had a "visual element" the fans would have turned even harder even quicker, because we all would have seen jimmy on his phone, AntH constantly making those faggoty grimmaces of his, and Brothaman existing.
I think podcasts are a better medium than radio for a ton of reasons, like ease of archiving and instant replays, but they're missing several things that make them inferior to radio, such as the lack of live podcasts. Sure, there are YouTube streams, but it's not nearly as common as radio. Also The lack of rivalry Joe Rogan has mentioned this before, but back in the radio days, O&A and other hosts fought all the time and had rival radio stations, while with podcasts everyone is buddies. The third thing is lack of exposure. Radio was basically guaranteed listeners because there were only a hand full of stations, but with podcasts, there are millions of people without listeners.
There's also a pretty severe lack of collaboration with podcasting. O&A couldn't exist today primarily because every fucking comic has their own podcast that they do instead of radio (unless they're plugging something extremely local). O&A used to be able to get Patrice/Jimmy/Colin/Vos/+extras all in studio for big events but I can't imagine a podcast with more than two or three active speakers (and not just one smart guy and 10 whores who may as well not have names).
That's another thing podcasts lack; access to guests used to big radio shows could get guests who would never even think about doing a show with them today. For example, Paris Hilton went on O&A nowadays; she would have her own garbage. Paris Hilton podcast vs. back then guys like O&A and Stern could get big names; even Donald Rumsfeld went on O&A, which could never happen in today's climate.

I personally think a lot of Jimmy's childhood stories are bullshit. Not that he wasn't gross, he definitely was, (and still is) but I noticed his childhood stories would change a lot over the years. Little details would change, getting slightly nastier as the years when on, I imagine because Jim thought this made them more interesting. I also don't think he was molested b/c if he was he'd definitely mention it because that would be something that would make him special and maybe give him an excuse for why he's such a gross homosexual.
Idk about that forum as I've never looked at it, but the old subreddit surely would. The few times I looked at it, there would actually people getting upset about Anthony's "racism". It was particularly cringey but then again it was reddit so that's expected.

I don't normally watch their shit but I watched the entirety of that episode and they don't seem happy. Nikki gets drunk and starts being really flirty with Ant after they have a long conversation about how both of them are basically allowed to cheat, but don't. The entire time this is happening, Jimmy keeps slouching his posture, putting his head down, and apologizing for the viking being drunk.
