There's not a lot of money in it. VAs have to work pretty consistently to make OK money and a fair bit of them do it as a side gig (like Phil Lamar and Deborah Wilson). More and more VA work also uses Motion Capture/Facial Capture and is likely more work than Ant can be bothered with.

He was making $3,000,000 a year (or more) for like 20 years - he's not going to take VA work for a few hundred bucks.
