It's probably a TCU (transitional care unit), they're for people who aren't well enough to go home but not in a state to be in a hospital. Basically a temporary nursing home. And yeah, they're expensive as fuck even for basic ones where you're sharing a room. The nicer ones are like a decent small apartment/condo.
