Opie's claim is that he doesn't want to uproot his kids if he doesn't have to. Kids now often do become hyper online when cut off from their IRL social circles, and we know that can lead to internet-induced autism and trooning out, so he might be doing the right thing. He also seems to be clinging to the fantasy that his career as an entertainer isn't totally dead, and moving away from NYC to become a snowbird would force him to accept reality (of course, he could always do something like go back to being a disc jockey at some Hamptons radio station and have a bit of fun, but we know he'd say that was beneath him even though right now he is literally begging for pennies on Facebook). The money griping is just a way for him to generate drama since he has nothing real to talk about.

Ant would never give up his lifestyle or bother trying to fit in if he actually left his shoebox apartment for South Carolina so community acceptance is unlikely. Maybe if he moved to certain parts of Florida, but that state is too expensive for him.

Scorch was a radio hack O&A worked with when they were on terrestrial. He was a "friend of the show" and Sam Roberts interned for him in Syracuse before getting hired at SiriusXM. They made fun of him and his low budget, unfunny projects on a pretty regular basis. Go back and watch all their segments on PFG-TV. It's in the vein of Jocktober but even more brutal because they knew him personally. It was Colin Quinn's all time favorite bit.

As much hate as Opie gets, I would have to say that his current streams even though he is struggling to get numbers; Is sort of telling that he is at least doing his best to live his best life. I don't see why he doesn't try to get his name back out there by just appearing on other shows, even just smaller shows. For Opie it is still possible to at least some form of momentum going, but for Anthony he totally just alienated himself from the entire universe at this stage. I don't think anyone outside of the fringe at this stage wants to even associated with the Compound brand, with their prime offspring was the fucking Proud Boys out of all things.
