Anthem - EA’s next PR disaster after BF 5

All I can say about this game at this point is this. At least the new hires at Bioware Edmonton will leave the company knowing they at least have a "popular" (sad I have to put that in quotation marks nowadays) gaming company on their resume as they look for other work. The people who took the jobs aren't expected to be kept around for the next Dragon Age game (people who were already working on that were brought into the Anthem crew along with the skeleton crew that Mass Effect Andromeda was give.) nor are they expected to stick around for Biowares next IP.

During the course of the game, Bioware Edmonton constantly had job listings for every position monthly. They either needed multiple people for the roles due to 24 hour teams or most likely, didn't stick around due to the stress of working for EA.

They'll be announcing layoffs shortly, and dollars to donuts say EA'll stiff Bioware with a DA or ME mobile game for a year until they get shut down

Sales will be below expectations, because EA will have set them up to fail and get woke, go broke. Bioware will then be biowaste.

So is there any positivity around this game, aside the mental few on Reddit? Even the most uplifting reviews come with a huge list of caveats.

THANK YOU FOR THE MONEY SCHMUCKS!
(It's almost like every npc is somehow mocking you during the cutscenes)

Oh god, they have their own Rose Tico.
I was watching that cutscene and it looks like Bioware has not learned how to do facial capture. The faces were tired in ME:A but on Anthem they're creepy. Also they still refuse to make 3D models of cute women.

Skillup hates it. Makes a lot of reasonable points, Reddit has gone fucking nuts on the Anthem board. Lol.

Compare this to, say, his Division 2 coverage - he's critical of bugs and some features, but goes into a lot of detail about what he's looking forward to and how things have changed from the first game. I can't hear any excitement when he's talking Anthem.

I watched that review yesterday and between it and the demo I'm truly, genuinely bored just looking at the gameplay. It's soulless, from the story to the characters right down to the gunplay and movement.

Who knew Bioware can copy a game like Destiny and made it worse than Destiny lol.

Get onto GOG.com and buy Baldur's Gate and its sequel. Then you will realise why Bioware used to be so lauded, and how far they've fallen.
I own Baldur's Gate 2, but I could never get into really playing it, since I'm not a big fan of DnD rules. I know these games mean a lot to many people, therefore I feel for those that enjoyed these classics.
