I was going to suggest that Mr. House from Fallout New Vegas is the real original Vtuber, in fact whenever I see or hear of Ironmouse I always think of Mr. House because they both have this "presents as a dynamic image on screen but is actually extremely sick and hooked up to machines" thing going on.
And then I realized actually Mr. House isn't the original vtuber, because the wizard of Oz is.

I always wondered how I even liked the Annoying Orange in the first place. I will say that Fred was too annoying for me to like.

Speaking of which, it’s amazing that Daneboe beat Fred to trooning out, especially when the Fred creator is gay and effeminate. But Lucas could still troon out.

I saw the AO channel’s videos, and despite having 13.6 million subscribers, recent videos rarely get above 1 million views. I wonder if anyone watches it unironically anymore. I know Daneboe changed the intended audience to grade schoolers after the TV series ended, but those fans must have grown out of the intended age group by now. People probably only watch the channel to see what happened to it.

I just noticed, he changed the name of the apple character from midget apple to little apple because midget isn't politically correct. Also I saw a video of Orange throwing garbage on a cybertruck

Probably because of the apple being the straight man and the jokes being half-decent. Also helps that the channel name doesn't lie to you, it's an annoying orange. Being aware of what you're in for does a lot of the heavy lifting.
