Lots of people for some reason seem to see berserk as the anti anime anime because of it dark fantasy setting. That only works if have the most basic idea of anime and think it's just sailor moon and cute girl slice of life shows and never seen an anime from before 2000.
People also dismiss all the rape as being a product of its dark fantasy setting and not anime sex bullshit despite the literal tentacles.
Null, the prude that he is, doesn't like sex stuff in show no matter the justification, nigga probably wouldn't even give ghost in the shell a shot because the nudity. If yoer going to recommend anime to Josh at least do stuff like yuyu hakisho or FMA that's mainly clean. Better yet don't recommend him anime because he's so dug in on it he'll clearly never watching any ever, just prod him over the fact he very obviously did used to watch anime and pretends he only know anime shit from "4chan culture".
