It's official, the Jahy-sama wa Kujikenai!/Jahy-sama Won't Be Defeated! devil girl comedy manga by Wakame Konbu is getting an anime adaptation, coming this July!

Official Jahy-sama wa Kujikenai! anime website.

Announcement on Wakame Konbu's Twitter.

Upcoming announcement stream on Wakame Konbu's Youtube channel which she has scheduled for 5 pm, March 17th, 2021 Japan time, 4 a.m. Eastern Daylight Time.

So, for the memes I decided to check out that Kuro Gyaru ero manga that got twitter to throw a fit some months back because of the "black gal" translation.

This thing is way better and more wholesome than a series with this premise has any right to be.

My god.... Both Nagatoro and Jahy got/are getting animes....

I guess this timeline is not so awful.

As a person that has read this manga for the last two and a half years just like Nagatoro, I’m even more excited that this is coming in the next three months.

ALL IS WELL IN THE (anime) WORLD.

I'm surprised that Jahy-sama was announced for July. I already knew it was probably happening since Square-Enix registered the anime domain a few weeks ago but I assumed it was going to be an October series since these sort of things are usually announced half a year or so in advance.

If you like both Jahy-sama and Nagatoro-san, there's a chapter in an official Nagatoro-san manga anthology (essentially creator-approved fan comics) written and drawn by Jahy-sama creator Wakame Konbu.

Was feeling a little burned out from anime so I figured I'd try and avoid watching anything during the spring season.
Unfortunately this fell through because my brother has been getting back into it and convinced me to rewatch some old shows from back when we used to watch them in 3 parts on youtube
However this made me realize that I was just burned out keeping up to date with a show and the discourse around the newest episode, so I'm just gonna try and stick with working on my backlog and rewatching some old favorites for a few months.
Speaking of rewatching is there any shows you have rewatch the most? For me I usually only rewatch a show a second time (though find it a lot easier to reread manga ) but off the top of my head I think I've rewatched NHK and baccano the most because I know I've watched both at least 3 times over the last decade.

I rewatched Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood just a couple weeks ago.

Always a great watch. Not to mention it is one of the few English dubs I love. Vic kills it as Edward Elric.

Also, best recap episode ever.

I did rewatch Elfen Lied and Made in Abyss once.

That was probably why I slowed down on my anime watching, I was forcing myself to watch seasonal anime when time and time again I was disappointed in what I saw. So I try to go at my own pace now with backlogs of what I do want to see. If a current show catches my attention, I'll watch it, but I have to make myself stick with it.

Hnnngh it's like a three-way tie between CLANNAD, Evangelion, and Higurashi. I honestly don't know. Higurashi I've been making it a habit to rewatch annually every October, although originally it was to "work my way up" to the next arc every year. Like the first time around, I watched the first arc directly on Halloween, then the year after that, I started a week early so I could watch the second arc on Halloween, and just kept that up for a few years. Think from now on, every first week/Saturday of October I'll just start watching, though as Kai isn't as spoopy as the first season, I think I just save that for November lol.

I very rarely rewatch shows, but my go-tos are Kill la Kill and Gurren Lagann. They're both comfy style-over-substance shows that you can easily enjoy on a rewatch without paying 100% attention to what's happening.

I did, and unsurprisingly, I almost thought that Nanashi needed to step up his game a little bit:

If there were ever signed on to the same company that’s producing the Jahy-sama anime and decided to make a crossover anime special like a Toriko, I’d absolutely watch it.

Just watched the 2 available episodes of Kuro-Gyaru, and I'm loving it. It has been too long since we got a yaoi hentai where the uke didn't look like a troon. Even though the voice of Shion is a bit light for a man, but he's cute. So I'll let it slide.

As far as I can see on the official website, they haven't yet announced which studio is handling Jahy-sama.

I wouldn't be too surprised if it was Silver Link since they've handled other Square-Enix Gangan Online/Gangan Joker magazine manga-to-anime adaptations before, namely WataMote and Tanaka-kun is Always Listless (possibly others?).
