If YWEWY has one season then the adaption is fucked and will just blitz through the game events without having the environment which made the game what it was.
On the other end of the scale, I really want Blue Reflection Ray to succeed. Since the game it's somewhat based on, while flawed, had great music and tone, but the first episode really drags.

Yeah I watched Sk8 as it was airing. It was a fun sports anime romp and it's actually kinda funny that they chose the villain as the progressive mouthpiece considering he's the most blatant problematic fujopandering character in the show. He lusts after a teenage boy, hits another guy in the face with his skateboard and sent him to the hospital, tries to drag the teenage boy into into a double suicide pact when he gets depressed after nearly losing a race and ends the show getting away with it completely and calling his childhood friend butler a dog who he owns.

One of the major reasons subs are better than dubs is that they can't pull this shit as these cringe subs would make zero sense with the intended dialogue. I can't stand the western anime market, it makes me incredibly MOTI to see these companies bastardizing shows for the sake of woke points, and being able to get away with it because they have a monopoly.

Makes me happy I swore off all English Dub anime after the Vic Mignogna situation and how he was treated by the VA's and these companies.

Seriously, most English VA's are fuckin awful and cringe people and are just as responsible for allot of changed dialogue dub wise.

I chose to not go for Sk8 just because I knew it was fujopandering and didn't want to get near those people, but that guy being the villainous creep of the series saying that is pretty fucking hilarious.

I can forgive the "sus" line in Nagatoro because even though it's blatantly forcing a meme it does make sense for teenagers to use slang variations of longer words.

What's "amazing" is that SK8 is a Bones show, with Takuya Igarashi storyboards, Ichiro Okouchi as lead writer, Banana Fish director. It's very good that they're doing this with major anime now, doing it 4Kids style but with woke culture war nonsense.

The well has been completely poisoned on the "localization" subject so the only acceptable opinion nowadays is to cheer for Reddit speak being added to the "translation". People defending the new bad localization are going "buh they just gave it more flavor" (which is, obviously, just another way of saying "it's better now") there is no difference between people saying this is okay because it's "better than the original" and "localizations don't HAVE to be 1:1!!", they are the same argument. An argument which for some reason is only applied to certain niches of Japanese media, wonder why.

It was just weird like out of context the line is hilarious in the unintentional sense but knowing the context of the original translation makes it feel forced and then knowing who said the line makes it both unintentionally hilarious and even worse.

Honestly, I think the anime is just there as a primer for people who don't want to play the first game before the sequel comes out.

A bunch of the Hololive girls use "sus" when talking about Among Us, so the meme does have actual usage in the JP sphere.
