Sound! Euphonium takes place in Kyoto.Anime and manga set in Japan always seems to be set in the Tokyo area. Are there any set in the Kansai area, like Kyoto?

I'm probably going to go on a tangent like I usually do, but this is the reason why I've long held resentment towards snarky and smarmy smartass anime fans and paraded when Zac Bertschy, Justin's friend and source of their viritrol, was dead in the ground. It's a free country, but it speaks volumes when you're a fan of something, and then disrespectfully taunt and treat like minstrels who created what you enjoyed. It is this kind of stuff makes it really hard to support some U.S. anime licensing companies when their staff act like this and been acting like this for decades. I know very far from everyone is like this at Discotek but Justin Sevakis has been a huge bitch like this for a long time, even in Internet time.

HURR Space Adventure Cobra SUCKS HURR HURR. I've never seen the U.S. anime old guard get mad at COBRA of all things for being disgusting offensive trash before.
Sevakis is a lowly bitch and him being in charge just should not be and despite working in a field that deals with Japanese animation his kind are always masks off when it comes to Japan.
Consider his review of Mad Bull 34, where he insulted Kazuo Koike, said that he was obviously a big dummy who got his ideas on what it was like in New York City because the dumb Jap probably thought American action films reflected reality, dropping feculent little gems like this in there (some of which were edited out)

Plus that time he asked Yoshiyuki Tomino numerous questions about "Garzey's Wing" and was proud of being disrespectful and going out of his way to make the man uncomfortable, being a total arrogant cunt to Tomino for laughs over his not liking one anime he did, and pushing that to the Western fandom as boldly challenging that TOTAL HACK TOMINO.

Golden Kamuy also has Karafuto Prefecture, annexed by the Soviets in 1945 but formerly a part of Japan, and a character talking in old-school Satsuma dialect which to me registers as "vaguely Japanese-sounding" unlike some of the other Kyushu dialects in anime or Kansai dialect. And lots of Ainu language and random cultural notes.Edit: If you're interested in some about Hokkaido there's Golden Kamuy (manga>anime) Silver Spoon, and Wave! Listen to Me, which aired last year.

Idk about that, but I will say Rose of Versailles is pretty goodI kinda wonder, if it's good idea to bring here some classics right now.
Like for example Kaze to Ki no Uta, coz I haven't seen it mentioned on farms. Has somebody here watched or read it?
If you did, what are your opinions about it?
I didn't watched this one, gotta check in free timeIdk about that, but I will say Rose of Versailles is pretty good
