So should I just skip the fourth season of DBZ? The first few episodes of it are a continuation of the story of a movie that I haven't watched, isn't canon, not to mention has trouble fitting into the continuity, and the episodes after that are just filler. I just barely have the patience to sit through the regular filler, I'm not sure if I can handle a whole season of it. I mean, the Freezie-pop Frieza fight was mostly filler, but at least it was sort of moving the story along, unlike what this season seems to be.

Are you talking about the Garlic Jr. saga? If so, just watch this clip and you can just move to the Android saga. TFS sums it up pretty well

Decided to check out Gundam AGE. Is it wrong I like the cute character designs? Kinda remind me of Xabungle for some reason.

On a sidenote, I'm making a note to watch Xabungle in the near future.

DBZ is so huge I just categorize it by the major over-arching sagas (Saiyan, Frieza, Android, Majin Buu) and leave what's inside alone. It's kinda why I like Kai so much, cutting out the filler makes the show half as long

Cowboy Bebop is one of those shows where you have to watch it dubbed because it's just that well done. Others include Samurai Champloo, Space Dandy, Black Lagoon, the Big O, Hellsing/Hellsing Ultimate, Fullmetal Alchemist (both 2003 and Brotherhood), Cromartie Highschool, and Ghost Stories. The last 2 for very different reasons from the rest

Throwing in Fruits Basket. Yes, it's a girl's anime, but the dub is just fantastic.

I was totally gonna watch Kai but my friend was all 'nah mang, ya gotta wathch the real DBZ.'

To my understanding, Big O and Cowboy Bebop weren't very successful in Japan, but they're probably the most recognizable (if you can call them that) and well liked anime in the US after DBZ and Sailor Moon.

My favorites in no particular order:

Jojo's Bizarre Adventure
Steins; Gate (This one is just flat out amazing.)
Kids on the Slope
Beck
Gurren Lagann
FLCL
Cowboy Bebop
Berserk
Code Geass

They got their own advantages and downsides. You're already this far in DBZ so you might as well stick with it. I just prefer Kai because I actually prefer some of the new voices for some characters like Gohan or Frieza, and because it cuts out the filler (like the Garlic Jr. saga). I must admit I miss god-tier filler episodes like the one where Goku and Piccolo take their driving test! :story:

My friend actually showed me that episode. It was pretty baller.

After today's Deathbattle, I started reading Berserk. Freaking love the artwork.

Finished Nichijou.

Pleasantly surprised. Initially, I thought the show was just decent, but the characters of the show REALLY grew on me as the show went on (except for the trigger happy tsundere girl, she was kinda annoying). I also enjoyed all the silly and surreal stuff that happens throughout the show. Finally, the ending was actually really touching. I was saddened to see the show end after that.

Reminds me of when I used to watch Azumanga Daioh years back.

Anybody buying the new Phantom Blood releases by Viz? Seriously nice book and apparently they sell pretty good. (First place a few days under the "Shonen" category on Amazon)
I'm glad this is selling well, could open the door for official releases of Parts 4-8. Battle Tendency's release is already confirmed as far as I know.

I own the physical copy. It's great. Apparently, there are also talks of them re releasing Stardust Crusaders in this format, which would be pretty cool. However, them releasing Parts 4-8 in this format is up to japan, as these volumes are translated versions of the Jojoniums, and they aren't done with SC yet.

I'm kinda impressed that the name changes weren't too bad for Phantom Blood's English release. Only Bruford and those 4 zombies that Straizo kill got changed, even then they were only minor edits.

On an unrelated note, has anyone seen Medaka Box? My weeaboo friend is going crazy for the show and I'm just wondering if it's as good as he says. I hear some mixed things about it.

Also how is Hetalia: Beautiful World? I liked the first 2 series but the new one seems less about jokes and more about yaoi-bait. Like everyone is slowly becoming as gay as France.
