I couldn't wait for the next few episodes of JoJo so I read the manga (well, all the post-D'arby stuff from SD and up to the Brutus fight in PB). Too bad I accidentally spoiled all the deaths for myself by reading the wiki article on the Super Famicom game.

I guess it's just a matter of preference. The game itself reminds me a lot of the Naruto games, especially since it's CyberConnect2 making the game. The fact that Stroheim, Diego Brando, and Speedwagon were some of the first characters announced for the game is what really makes me excited for it. Now I'm just hoping FF, Weather Report, and Hot Pants get announced as well
Oh shit, Eyes of Heaven actually looks really good. I would've preferred a 2D fighter like Heritage for the Future and All-Star Battle, but I love me some CUHRAYZEE spectacle fighters, so I'm still pretty excited. I really hope it gets a PC port, and since it's being published by Namco and developed by CyberConnect2, there's no way it's not happening.

Checking out Blue Comet SPT Layzner. I've wanted to watch this for about four years, ever since I first played SRW J. Just learned that the subs were finished, so the time is ripe.

It really looks like he's jerking off in the opening, doesn't it? But this shit is supposedly darker than Zeta Gundam, so I'll forgive it.

Layzner is great. Surprised the subs got finished, since /m/subs moves at a snail's pace.

Main characters who die in the manga actually survive the battle against Dio, which is nice. I haven't played the SFC game yet, might do that next month when I'm on my eleven hour flight...

Anybody buying the new Phantom Blood releases by Viz? Seriously nice book and apparently they sell pretty good. (First place a few days under the "Shonen" category on Amazon)
I'm glad this is selling well, could open the door for official releases of Parts 4-8. Battle Tendency's release is already confirmed as far as I know.

Final episode of Gundam Reconguista in G. That epilogue really needs an extended cut, but that final battle was amazing.

I pre-ordered the first volume from Amazon. It's awesome and I love that it's very close to the scanlations found online. My favorite part of it is Araki has a small bio at the end where he discusses how he created Jonathan. He actually created Dio's personality first and his main goal was to create someone who was an antithesis to Dio's evil. That's why Jonathan feels very generic compared to the other JoJos, he wanted to begin with a protagonist that represents a hero who could do no wrong

Just watched the final episodes of both Tokyo Ghoul Root A and Parasyte: The Maxim. Maxim was easily the better series, but I didn't necessarily think Root A was that bad. Maxim has to be the best anime adaptation I've ever seen though.

New JoJo episode was great, episodes with Hol Horse &/or Boingo are some of my favourite.
I'll also have to watch the final episode of Koufuku Grafitti soon. Feels bad knowing that it's over, so I'm putting it off.

I found a picture that best describes today's JoJo episode

the final episode of Shirobako was posted this afternoon and a hour later some idiots were making a online petition for another season

i mean i know Shirobako must be the best thing P.A Works has done in years (except nagi no asukara) but pleading for more is very childish

I'm trying to summon up the last of my giveafuck reserves in order to finish the final few episodes of Aldnoah.Zero. Who knew goddamn robots in space could be so dull.

G-Reco, I'm giving it a 8/10.

* It's a show that you have to read between the lines to understand, and it doesn't really make it easy. It does away tools like exposition and flashbacks for good or ill. Generally, this feels less like storytelling and more like real life.
* There is a massive amount of worldbuilding going on.
* Characters seem somewhat alien in nature due to the vast cultural differences between us and them.
* Great battles that take up too much time at places, leaving some story segments somewhat (alliteration bonus) lacking.
* Epic OST and beautiful animation
* It feels more like a hard scifi story, with things carefully plotted out. Though there is some rule of cool here and there.

All the intricacies appeal to me. That's it really. I like something I can invest in, taking time to understand what's happening rather than having it spelled out for me. It's stuff like that is why I like ASoIaF over LotR. Why I was so into Kamen Rider Gaim over Wizard. It's my kind of show.

This is a show that needed a few more episodes to bring out it's full potential. Or at least an extended cut of the finale.

Just started Season 3 of Dragon Ball Z today. Christ, this is gonna be a long season.

I finally saw Paprika for the first time. It was very interesting and something I have to rewatch later on.

So I'm done with nine volumes of Oyasumi Punpun. Read the half of the first volume as scanlation, then went out to buy the available volumes.
That series is just :heart-empty:
I got so close but I just couldn't finish it. There's a part where shit just starts to spiral out of control horribly and I didn't have the resolve to press on at the time. I'll pick it back up when I feel like I have enough emotional fortitude to not sudoku at the end of it.

They told me it was a goddamn comedy.

Currently watching Nichijou.

It's...

Interesting so far. I'm about seven episodes in. So far, it feels like you're typical slice of life anime. But it's also pretty out there at times.
