Hell, Steve Blum only has one voice for every character he plays and yet he's still one of my favorite VAs

Yeah because he's awesome. There are a few. My favorite is that chick from ocean group who did Lime in saber marionette j. Wish she had done more. She did hime or whatever her name was (main heroine) in brain powered which was probably the worst anime I've ever seen.

Speaking as someone strictly as an animation fan, this looks like a bad idea. While I know 2019 is only four years away and anything can change during that time. But from experience, Korea's not been all that great animation-wise. Their work on Japanese and American productions tend to be lackluster most of the time, and their domestic productions tend to be worse.

I started watching the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure anime a few days ago. Phantom Blood didn't quite live up to my expectations, but I'm only two episodes in to Battle Tendency and my expectations have been shattered. Holy lord, it's good.

Trust me, Battle Tendency is one of the best parts of JoJo. Completely blows away Phantom Blood. And Joseph is and will always be the coolest JoJo of them all.

Should I watch Evangelion? I've heard good things about it and bad things about it. I'm drawn to it because of the religious imagery and mindfuck-y nature to the whole show, but I also hear that it's whiny and makes very little sense. What do?

I'd say watch it. Personally, I love it but I realize it isn't for everyone. Just give it a shot.

At worst, you watched a super-influential series and didn't dig it.

There are worse things you can watch. Personally, I refuse to believe Anno didn't watch Hades Project Zeorymer (which has the greatest theme ever) before he made it.

NSFW. Just a warning.

Just warning you, the religious imagery is there to "look cool" so don't waste your time analyzing.

EVA's worth a watch. It's not nearly as complex or as mindfuck-y as people like to say, though- it's more surrealist than a mind fuck, since the religious imagery means absolutely nothing. It's still a pretty damn good show, however, if honestly really goddamn pretentious.

If you want something along the lines of EVA but actually kind of is a mindfuck (until you rewatch it once or twice), I'd suggest watching RahXephon. Now THAT shit is a mind-bender, especially towards the end, but it ultimately makes sense on another watch since you're able to pay attention to details now that you know the bigger picture. It's some good shit.

I watched an episode and a half of evangelion. I like it so far even though it's a bit slow, but I need to give it way more time.

Focus on the show's message I find to be more important then the "religious" or deep stuff. To me, the message is what makes Evangelion special.

If there's any parts you get stuck on or don't get, google EvaGeeks as it has a lot of resources and interviews on the show.

One more thing, after you finish the show, watch End of Evangelion. It's a complete ending compared to the show. Warning that it goes all out throughout the whole thing.

Well I'm watching Rurouni Kenshin, currently on Episode 18 English Dubbed. I really used to be into anime back in the 90's, but I've grown out of it since then. I do still occasionally read manga though. I either read online or borrow from my local library if I find new volumes. Did get my dad to buy me a bunch back in 2009 when he decided to re-enter my life briefly, ended up donating them to my local library. Share the love yo.

It really sucks that we have no information at all about the English Dub to Stardust Crusaders. I know it was a test dub, but it was actually really good, especially Richard Epcar as Joseph. The episodes were removed from Crunchyroll and never heard from again, besides some shady-looking anime sites.

Maybe with JoJo finally getting more popular in the West, we'll see an actual Dub come to fruition (preferably with Polnareff actually having a french accent), or better yet, they actually dub parts 1 & 2.

I'm saying this, JoJo gets a DVD/Bluray release I am fucking buying it.

Edit: The more I watch SEED Destiny, the more I want to go back and rewatch SEED. I mean, SEED went to shit in it's final act (IMO), but I still really liked it until that point. Hell, as time passes (and the more I watch Destiny) it becomes more of a guilty pleasure for me.

Is that weird to anyone else? That a horrible sequel makes me like the original that much more. I hear people say that Destiny makes SEED retroactively a POS, but to me it's the opposite. I was kinda meh when I finished it, but now I can honestly say I liked it.

May start watching the English dub soon, since the HD Remasters was pulled from Gundam.Info.
