Speaking of Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt, is that any decent or okay? The only things I know about it is hearing it through a podcast that despised it for the humor. That and its has a odd ending.
I thought it was okay. It's mostly sexual and potty humor, but it's also a show you shouldn't take seriously. Sometimes I felt it was trying too hard. And yeah, the ending comes out of nowhere. But if you don't mind that kind of stuff, give it a watch.

18 episodes in. I find it's gotten better in that time, but I'm having trouble cheering for the heroes. With the exception of Quatre, they all come across as varying flavors of asshole (and only Duo's a likable asshole). Honestly, I like Zechs and Treize more.

My nostalgia for the series is more towards the suits and the first opening. I built a Wing Gundam Gunpla as a kid and when I first started building Gunpla (again, since I found a few models in high school that sadly got trashed when some relatives came over with their kids), the Wing Gundam was the first HG I bought. Still have the Deathscythe action figure though (lost my Shenlong and Epyon), although it's missing a shoulder and the weapons.

Don't worry about that, that's how most people feel, my humble self included! My favourite character is Zechs as well, he is a pretty intriguing figure, especially in later episodes he becomes really amazing. I must ask, though, how do you feel about Relena?

Awww. To be perfectly fair, I used to watch the series for the suits myself. Those are truly the highlight of the show. I kinda wish I had such figures myself, though. I just had no chance to buy them, considering where I live.

I thought it was pretty good, but people aren't wrong when they say the ending is stupid. And at this point, I don't think we'll ever be getting a season 2

My favorite character is Trieze actually. Zechs is runner up. Relena... I'm watching the English dub while riffing on her lines.

Ever consider Gunpla? A High Grade (1/144th scale. Most common, great for beginners. No paint/glue required) Wing Gundam goes for about $25 with shipping on ebay. Takes about an hour and a half to assemble too. They don't have all the suits (they focus on popular suits) and some are only available in higher grades, but there is a decent selection from the different shows. Only real thing you should be concerned about is getting older models, as some are not painted or require glue. Plus they're not as flexible.

My sister actually asks me about my models sometimes. She's a bit of an artist, so I originally asked her if she could paint one for me (it's a remake of the original gunpla, all-white) and she's been curious ever since. Hasn't had time to paint it though. She's not interested enough to buy one herself, but enough to ask if I got any new one's. I told her it took me about 5 hours to build my RG Destiny (still have a shit-ton of stickers to put on) and she complimented me on my patience.

Mom's also supportive of my hobby, since she knows I have fun building them. Only my dad doesn't like it, but he's the type who thinks I'm too old to play vidya or fictional shows like the Walking Dead are stupid. But hey, my money and it's not like Chris and Lego. I'm not planning on getting another one until my birthday in March and after that, maybe another in May

Been watching Eyeshield 21. Considering that I'm a huge fan of football, I have no fucking clue why I didn't earlier. Also, Himura, fucking Himura. And, Chris-esque line.

Finally got around to watching Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. I LOVED the original anime and the manga. And so far I'm enjoying this one as well.

The pacing is noticeably faster than the original, but I guess that's probably because a large part of the intended audience has already seen the original and want to get to the part where the manga and original anime split. That, and I kinda feel this version is a little bit sillier than what I would prefer.

Besides that though, I'm enjoying it so far and look forward to watching more. Currently I'm at episode 9.

I have finally finished part 7 of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure

Holy shit.
HOLY. SHIT.

An alternate universe version of Diego Brando that has The World came out of nowhere and was the coolest idea for a final fight they could've had. I will admit that his death was sudden, but then again, how else were they gonna beat him?

As for part 7 itself, it was amazing. It's long length and setting really went well with Johnny and Gyro's Yaoi bait bromance and they're probably the most fleshed out JoJo protagonists because of that. It's kinda like what Araki wanted to do with Joseph and Caesar in part 2, but was able to better execute it. It's not just Johnny and Gyro who were great characters, Funny Valentine marked the first time I actually felt bad for a villain in JoJo. His entire plan was made not because of his own desire to rule, but because he loved America and wanted to see it as a utopia, protected from any enemies around the world. In contrast with DIO, Diego was someone else that you can actually feel bad for since this time it actually WAS his painful upbringing that made him into the bastard he is.

Is part 7 my favorite part? It's hard say given my love for parts 4 and 2, but now that I've finished it, it's on to part 8: The new hero has 4 testicles!

Finally finished the final batch of episodes of FMA: Brotherhood.

FUCKING LOVED IT.

It's weird though, there was quite a few stuff that were pretty big things that happened in the manga that I somehow forgot about once they were shown in the anime.

i.e. Mustang becoming blind, Alphonse sacrificing himself to get Ed's arm back, Hohenheim dying at Trisha's grave, Pride given the chance to start over and be with Mrs. Bradley, ect.

Granted, it's been a few years since I last read the manga, but still. :/

I want to watch Macross 7. That soundtrack, pure joy. Going to finish Macross after Zeta Gundam, then hit Macross 7.

I really like Homunculus. It might be my favorite manga.

I also like Nijihara Holograph a lot. Need to get on with reading Punpun.

So, watching the newest episode of Cross Ange (a stupid, yet enjoyable show nowadays) and came upon this:

Now I`m having a horrible thought of OPL with a giant robot (though to be fair, if any lolcow got their hands on a giant robot...)

I recently re-watched Beck and remembered why its one of my favorite shows ever. Also, one of the only shows that I prefer to watch with the English dub.

Decided to pick up the manga. Haven't gotten too far. Has anyone else read it?

I generally don't have a problem with dubs when available. There are some I won't touch (Evangelion, because I can't stand Asuka's dub voice. It's less "child trying to act grown up" and more "grown up acting like a child") but it's more on a case-by-case basis.

Finished Zeta Gundam. Best. Anime. Ever. Again, I've wanted to watch this show for almost a decade and it lived up to my expectations. Wow Tomino, wow.

Anyone have any manga they'd recommend? I'm looking for something new to read.

If you want to get punched by some grown up shit then Oyasumi Pun-pun is pretty nice.

Zeta Gundam is my number one anime, next to maybe Gunbuster.
ZZ is something else though, so strap in. You are in for a semi-sour ride.

It's not that I have a problem with dubs, its just kind of a preference. I usually can't distinguish whether the acting in Japanese is good or not, so its easier to overlook than when its in English. I feel like a lot of dubs tend to overact. They may be overacting in the Japanese as well, but I can't tell.

Beck and Cowboy Bebop have the two best English dubs I can think of. I actually got a chance to see the English cast (some of them, at least) perform the songs from the show recently!
