The lack of anything good to watch this season finally got me to watch Mob.

It's pretty good, though I think I like Onepunch Man more. That might be because I read OPM before people started hyping it up a lot, though.

Just stumbled upon Angel Densetsu:

Never heard of this before, but it's pretty hilarious. They get a lot of mileage out of a relatively simple premise. Love it!

The manga is pretty good too, but the art quality's end point is where Claymore starts.

So yeah. It's ugly.

Just read through the first volume of Urusei Yatsura and it’s a solid 7/10 so far! Rumiko draws pretty women, the characters are fun, and I laughed my ass off at every chapter! I really want to see more of the happy-go-lucky monster.
However, I’ve had to put it down several times and think. I feel kind of bad for Ataru- on one hand, most of his actions are justified because he’s a huge horndog. On the other hand, he was born an unlucky kid right off the bat, his mother doesn’t care much about him (then again, she could be just a frustrated housewife who’s had to put up with his bad luck), Shinobu’s a tsundere who gets triggered by wacky shenanigans even when he’s sincere, and his life was turned upside down by an overly affectionate alien. I know Rumiko repeats this formula in her other series (I’ve read Ranma 1/2), but once you seem to get to know everyone, you start to see another side of them. I guess this is what she meant in her little author’s note.

Oh, it'll get there! Glad to hear you enjoyed it!

Is that the character from chapter 2, from before Rumiko Takahashi decided that Lum needed to appear in every chapter?

Alas, I don't think he makes another appearance. Most of the youma-type characters are only single appearance as far as I know, though I only have what Viz published in the 1990s which was only around half the total manga.

There's this manga called For Himeno-chan, Love Is (Still) Too Early. It's a puppy love type manga where this girl has feelings for this boy but doesn't know how to properly express her feelings. The latest chapter has them watching a 'foreign movie for adults' and they find it boring, here is how they portray a foreign movie:

What movie is this supposed to be?

I have no idea but, quite often, the way to figure out this type of reference is to find out when the chapter was first published in Japan and then find out which foreign movies opened in Japan roughly two to six months earlier to have influenced the manga author.

EDIT: Since that Himeno-chan chapter came out this month, I suppose that it might have been a movie that would have played in Japan very recently if it is a specific reference. I can't find any movies with similar titles, however. The poster reminds me a bit of that for the Charlie's Angels movie from 2000, a movie I happen to like a lot but I don't think it's the kind of sophisticated, adult film the manga author intended to portray with dialogue that would go over the head of 10-year olds.

The line about wolves not eating peanut butter could be a reference to a specific film or it could just be a non-sequitur the author invented that's supposed to be incomprehensible.

Magical Girl Special Operation Asuka is a good manga and a decent anime (so far).

Preview for the next episode confirmed it. Cool.

I hate how everyone sleeps on sports anime. It's basically realistic shonen with all the thrills included, but oh no, flying tiny sparkly god-man is cooler.

The studio behind Haikyuu made a running anime with great characters and arcs of growth etc. It didn't get an inch of attention until the other anime ended, and now that it's stuck in cour 2, it's once more being overshadowed by even 6/10 one-shot anime.

Instead, "when is haikyuu?"

I was talking about the character from the egg chapter, but I liked the imp, too!

Ah, well. At least Rumiko is good at making memorable one-offs.

I too wish someone would translate the Uma Musume OVA already.

I came across this degenerate shit in summary it's about a couple who don't particularly think their spouse cares about them and unbeknownst to either of them both are doing questionable shady shit. It's quite interesting although there is a lot of sex and violence you have been warned.

Household Affairs by Butcher Boy

I honest to God can't get enough of Fist of the North Star. It's the OG shounen MANga and an absolute must see. While it does have some filler episodes, it makes up by having some, in my opinion at least, really good spin-off material with the Rei Gaiden manga being my personal favourite.

Now people may remember the legendary opening theme. The theme song of the second season is quite an ear-worm itself. In fact, it's so good even the Major from Hellsing ended up singing it.

If you ever plan on binge watching Fist of the North Star, do so while watching JoJo's Bizarre Adventure as a companion series. Your overall quality of life will dramatically improve.

I’ll agree that KissAnime has gone to shit. The amount of crap I block with uMatrix and uBlock Origin says more than enough to make me look elsewhere and their weird original captcha thing where you click pictures pisses me off. Last time I heard they ran crypto miners on you so just avoid it. You used to be able to download videos for free, then you had to make an account to score points every time you viewed a video to ‘pay’ for DL, then one day I tried logging in to find all my points were gone (this was like 2015?) and now I think my account is in the void somewhere because KA acts like it doesn’t exist (and yes I know about the weird domain changes)

if I need something,I either go to Nyaa or animencodes(they are pretty good at balancing space and quality)

Not going to lie, the human designs don't really translate well into CGI. Brock in particular looks rather creepy.

Everyone looks like how I expected them to look, so I'm personally not bothered by it. Everyone's been freaking the fuck out over it and going "EWW EWW NOOOO", but I'm just sitting here going "Dr. Fuji looks fantastic, I love it".

Featuring most of the current WataMote manga cast of characters, most of whom either hadn't yet appeared in the manga when the anime was made or, for the handful of her classmates who did appear in the anime, were background characters who Tomoko was too shy to talk to.

Finished 00 Season 2 and A Wakening of the Trailblazer. The movie was funny, but the action scenes were really drawn out and boring. Finished The Origin too and the only offensively bad episode was the second I'm glad to say. I thought I would be kind of annoyed at all of the Char jerking off going on, but it was more enjoyable than bad. Got farther in Turn-A and its very slowly becoming more bearable, but it still absolutely lacks most of the charm other Gundam shows have had. SEED Stargazer was actually pretty fantastic. AGE has been fine so far, I like what they did with the main character of the first arc. Other than that, not incredible, but very very watchable.
