Right away but like @Apoth42 says it’s full of adverts and I wouldn’t be suprised if also malware.

Really? Maybe my browser's just horribly out-of-date, but I've been signed in for almost a month now and I don't see any way to download files. There's advert of course, but last I checked it doesn't have malware (currently, it may happen again soon). KissManga apparently does, though.

Bro's Xbox has the AnimeTube app that pulls video from several places like KA, so eh. I miss that one site that was I think named Anime Soul or something like that, it was really nice, was able to find a lot of older anime titles through it easily and it didn't whine when I had my Adblocker on. Then apparently the EU spooked them or something and shut down. Sucked a lot.

I have no idea what site you were referencing and I can't think of what it was, but my mind leapt to Anime Sols, which is definitely not what you were thinking about.

Man, that was a good site when we had it. Weird old anime no American distributor would ever want to touch - old Tezuka specials and weird Tatsunoko shows; both Yatterman series... And barely anyone wanted to see stuff like that, so it closed down. Shame.

At the bottom of the some of the servers you get:

I use this firefox addon so I can just right click and download from the beta servers like:

Since for some reason some of the downloads don't work on the PS4 where I like to watch stuff.

I was lucky to download what they had up there before the site went down. Nobody's ever going to subtitle the rest of Demetan the Frog.

So, I watched the Netflix real life adaptation of Bleach. I have very mixed feelings. The actors are good, the style and look is fantastic (the Hollows look amazing and the special effects and set designs are surprisingly elaborate at times), but overall, they sort of put the whole thing in a blender storywise, which is a shame.
I was afraid they'd put everything up to Rukia's salvation into a 2hour movie, instead it stops at the point where Rukia leaves Karakura with Renji and Byakuya. That in itself is decent, but they threw the plot in disorder, which kinda sucks a bit of the urgency out of the whole thing. There's also the issue that they only give minor nods to smaller plotpoints, such as Ishida Uryu being a Quincy... and when Rukia has her tearful goodbye with Ichigo, I can't help but wonder why she cares so much about him, after all, they spent the entire movie being annoyed by each other.

So, overall: Looks nice, the story has issues with weird pacing and much stuff remains underdeveloped with sideplots from the manga being introduced but dismissed almost immediately.
They should have focused more on Ichigo actually fighting Hollows and his relationship with Ishida, instead they waste too much time on training montages and quarreling between Rukia and Ichigo.
Might still have potential if they make a sequel, though.

Just stumbled upon Angel Densetsu:

Never heard of this before, but it's pretty hilarious. They get a lot of mileage out of a relatively simple premise. Love it!

I think I recommended that around a million pages ago. It's an absolute gem and more people should watch it. The Manga is amazing, too.

Funny how the "best part" seems to always be the one immediately after the one that's currently being adapted.
I just really enjoyed how in a weird way it really encapsulated the vibe of florida, for me it had a strong atmosphere probably tied with part 4 with its twin peaks thing, and honestly I just really liked the cast of part 6, so I'm only half shitposting here

There's this manga called For Himeno-chan, Love Is (Still) Too Early. It's a puppy love type manga where this girl has feelings for this boy but doesn't know how to properly express her feelings. The latest chapter has them watching a 'foreign movie for adults' and they find it boring, here is how they portray a foreign movie:

What movie is this supposed to be?

Reminds of those lame independent films I saw..... though watch it for the nudity

I'm considering watching Devilman Crybaby. I read Devilman back in high school and, man, did it give me nightmares. Maybe shotgunning the entire manga in a day and a half wasn't the best thing to do.

Also considering watching the original Mazinger Z anime, mostly because I got Mazinger Z Infinity the other day and it was awesome. I tried Shin Mazinger a few years back, but it didn't seem to have the right charm for me. Instead, it felt like it was trying to be Gurren Lagann. The Mazinkaiser and Mazinkaiser SKL OVAs were pretty fun though.
