I'd honestly really like a thread focused on the Vic drama, just to keep it from cropping up here every few pages, since there are a few updates that broke over the weekend. I'd make it myself but I'd probably make a right tit of it.
First, Anime Outsiders, an anti-SJW account on Twitter, got suspended after repeatedly sharing videos and posts that defended Mignogna. Right around the time of the suspension a Funimation VA named Jamie McGonnigal mentioned having "friends on Twitter" who would be dishing out suspensions and bans.
Second, two voice actors that condemned Vic, Neil Kaplan and Jamie Marchie, have both been accused of sexual assault- Kaplan by a staffer at a convention back in January, and Marchie by a user on Twitter who claims Marchie groped them at a con when they were underage.

We got one here if you haven't been there yet. Jamie was brought up, but I don't think it was ever pointed out she got accused, so that's news to me.

Posting right now to be my marker that I am starting my first step into the Saint Seiya franchise in a few minutes. Should be an exciting journey.
EDIT: I like that it's been non-stop action since its beginning. Like it's just episode one and just from the setting alone I'm questioning why it's Knights of the Zodiac instead of Spartans of the Zodiac lol. The ear being sliced off was pretty fucking metal, though.

MAL I believe is partnered with Crunchyroll who in turn has connections with ANN, so no surprise there. They're all connected and want to sweep this under the rug.

Sadly VA bio pages seem to push comments into the ether every 10 users, which makes it a bit difficult to archive if you're not consistently on top of it. So they're either cleaning up his bio page, or they're just vanishing into the void where we can't follow.

it's only violent like that in the 80's anime.The Hades OVAs(produced in 2002.Yeah,they took THAT long to animate the final arc...) toned it down a lot.

I just finished watching the Dragonball Super: Broly movie. As a simple Dragon Ball movie I loved it. My only complaint is that they made the abomination that was Dragon Ball Minus canon.
I just caught up with the whole drama surrounding Broly's voice actor Vic Mignogna from reading this thread and some post on the r/OutOfTheLoop subreddit. Unless I missed some crucial lore and we have some slam dunk evidence, I do ask myself why Vic's fellow voice actors aren't going for the "innocent until proven guilty" route. As it has been correctly noted, if these allegations are true and Vic's colleagues were being quiet about his degeneracy for years, it's not a good look as Nick Fuentes would say.
Edit: Also keeping the accusations levied against Vic in mind, one line from the movie stood out to me when the character Chirai had a small talk with Broly.
Chirai: "So, er- what are you called again, creeper?"
I can't put my finger on it, but there is something magical about 90s anime in general. And I'm sure I can't be the only one to think that the dub's opening song is reminiscent of CeCe Peniston's Finally. 90s anime had overall some really catchy opening themes.

Now this is a blessed anime watched by people who truly pray to God. Leona is absolute Christ-tier main girl. The show itself was an 80s cop action comedy as a 90s anime, the best of both decades. Sometimes I do miss the 90s, back when female main characters would build their own tanks.

lol, AoT has such terrible writing. All I do for AoT now is read spoilers to see how fucking stupid its grown. I'm not even invested, I basically skim to the end and see the spoilers. The motivations for all the characters are stupid or shrouded in mystery that they appear to be fucking re.tarded. This game of thrones shit is so. fucking. boring. I am invested in no character. God, AoT fucking sucks.
If they had any sense with the anime, they'd avoid the change in characters and focus on the original cast. And avoid the game of thrones shit and keep with the post apocalyptic shit. Talk about fucking up your core concept. You want to write a WWII fantasy analogue? Then do that. Don't fuck up a good setting by changing the tone in the middle. I don't know why writers and readers think this is fucking brilliant.

Yeah, I completely lost interest after the timeskip.
Time skips are terrible 99% of the time. I think the only good example I can think of is for one tragedy manga I was reading where the point of it was to show that the characters ultimately learned nothing.
