So guilty or not guilty? Which one is it cause I wanna get off this crazy ride already!

I started reading some manga I've been hearing my friends talk about a lot lately and have come to the following conclusions:

Quintessential Quintuplets is... Surprisingly cute and wholesome for something called a harem manga, and focuses more on the characterization of the waifus over their giant baps (they still have giant baps, their poor spines). Manga's definitely better than the anime, and I think the anime is actually pretty good!

Out is holy shit one of the most intense action series I've read in a long time. It takes a little bit to get going since the main character isn't really that interesting, but when all the different players in the story start to come together shit gets real fast as hell.

Volume 14 of the WataMote manga (a.k.a. No Matter How I Look at It, It's You Guys' Fault I'm Not Popular) is out in Japan.

What's notable about this commercial is that it's the first time in quite a while that seiyuu Izumi Kitta has officially voiced Tomoko Kuroki, even if it's only a couple of lines for a commercial voice-over. Could publisher Square-Enix be teasing the possibility that they'll finally commission an anime studio to make WataMote season 2, only six years after the first season and five years after the one-shot OVA side-story prequel?

Watamote is so weird. Look at how it started and then look at what it's like now.

Some people on Reddit and /a/ complain that Tomoko's too popular now despite the title and the pendulum may have swung too far on the popularity side but, on the other hand, I think Tomoko being a loner silently seething at her classmates had run its course by volume 7 and Nico Tanigawa were right to introduce new people into her life with the Kyoto field trip arc and beyond.

Kaguya-sama Love is War is wholesome and the anime is surprisingly not an A-1 trainwreck. Highly worth looking at even if that's not what you're into.
Komi-san is calculated and terrible and I don't understand how anyone can tolerate it.

Have to admit, when I saw it pop up I thought "Ehhhhh, another generic waifu harem anime." but when I started watching it (not read the manga yet) I was surprised how vastly different the characters actually were. Normally in these shitty looking animes you expect them all to be some variation of tits and future onahole, but nope. Actually vaguely interesting, different characters.

Love is War is great, the endings to each episode have been fantastic too.

I dunno, Komi-San seems relatively innocent and benign and Komi-San herself is kind of cutesy. I mean, who doesn't enjoy cat eared moomin faces?

Some kinda souless monster, I tells ya.

Yeah, I read the first chapter and dropped it until people kept insisting no, it's actually something I'd probably like.

It's hurricane season 'cause Nino is unstoppable.

I'm a softie, so I think it's nice that she's put her life together and become a mostly functional human being.

Better than most of the people featured and posting on this site can say!

Every character looks like they are X but they're actually Y. The entire world bends over backwards for a shy girl that seemingly only the main character understands.
I genuinely believe it stems from a position of "how can I make something that people will like" instead of "how can I make something that I like that people will like".
I consider it to be the former, while Kaguya and Quints are the latter.

Some anime dub bigshot has been liking several tweets that are critical of Vic Mignogna https://twitter.com/hanleia/status/1089041109819355137

:story:
i don't really know or care about Vic outside of his Broly voice in DBZ and the accusations of him being homophobic because he wouldn't sign creepy yaoi fanart of characters and anti-Semitic because of holocaust jokes he made is dumb, but considering Sean is now favoriting tweets about how much of an asshole he is there's probably credibility to all of this shit that's coming out about him

EDIT: after some digging there's a good amount of industry insiders who think Sean is a huge asshole too. he's an insecure baby who's gone out of his way to remove other Goku VAs from cons. there's also been other VAs in the community who have called him out. he's gotten really angry over people making fun of his goku black voice a few years ago to the point where he deleted his twitter.

Anyways even with this new info it could be that Vic is a huge piece of shit even for Sean, or maybe him liking the tweets is just a way to get some heat off his back, idk

Considering how far these stories go back and how many of them there have been, it’s obvious that something is up with him.

Not to imply anything, of course, but with this much smoke there’s gotta be some fire somewhere.

There is definitely a case to be made with him. Apparently a good chunk of his personal fanbase are teenage girls (43% exactly). There’s even a fucking fanpage dedicated to the guy. There’s also this blog with some
pretty old stories about the guy.

Yeah, that blog is one of the reasons I know about it. By the way, Vic was supposedly telling his fanbase to defend him via Discord.

Anime News Network.

I’ve heard of Vic Mignogna being an alleged creep/asshole for years before all this shit surfaced up, so I can definitely believe the accusations especially from that article.

I hope more shit comes out the woodwork from him and other creepy VAs.

Well given that forum post about Sean, there's a good chance he's also a creepy molester. Maybe his favoriting of #kickvic is just projection.

We'll see what happens. At this rate, I wouldn't be too surprised if there's more that will surface. Hearing how he kicked out other Goku VAs left a bad taste in my mouth as is.
