Got word about the new Ghost in the Shell: SAC anime. Titled Ghost in the Shell SAC_2045, it'll be released on Netflix worldwide in 2020, and is a Production I.G. and Sola Digital Arts collab. It appears to be done by the same people behind the new Ultraman.

Maybe Crunchy Roll shouldn't have put any money into shit like High Guardian Spic School or whatever fake-anime abomination they produced and instead bought this instead, something interesting and what people might actually want to watch? I don't know, just a thought.

I'm beginning to believe that Netflix has a office in Japan free of Dangerhairs and idiots that actually know the industry and their market

Edit meanwhile was writing: they in fact have a office in Japan, they are even searching for people to get them new content/licenses (like for example getting Godzilla so they could made OVAs and so on), that would explain why Netflix get the good stuff, they go with local manpower so they dont have to listen to gaijin complainings

And every now and then, they create something absolutely amazing, such as the Blame! anime.
Usually, I'm not a big fan of the CGI anime stuff, but that movie worked, I guess the uncanny valley somehow added to the surreal atmosphere that comes with Blame!.
 

So whoever's in charge of this decided to spontaneously turn one of the guys into a girl, because nowadays you can't have a team of guys without a girl and not be a political movement.

Not even feminists liked the change though, it seems.

It was this guy as expected it was a American, people is fucking livid because Saint Seiya is practically a institution here in South America and this guy decided to rape 30 years of lore for brownie points, fuck him, what is next? making Goku a girl ?

He is even wrong in the "core" concepts of Andromeda, it was not his brother that teached him how to fight, he went to the Andromeda island and trained there like any other Saint (every single bronze Saint went to a different part of the world to train), it was explained to death in the anime and in the manga, every person that has 30-40 here in Venezuela can tell you that without even being a weeb, also by doing this move FUCKED TO OBLIVION the Hades story arc and raped the lore even more

Another rape to the lore was that for LAW of Athena every female saint has to wear a mask, this rule was kicked to death in Omega but that was a spinoff so no one cared but here? Shun doesnt have a mask, the mask thing is a important plot point for one character in the manga/anime so people is now more pissed

Americans are very meh about it, but Mexicans? oh boy there is enough salt to fuel a spaceship from here to alpha centauri, just check the comments, Saint seiya fans have been fucked by Toei for years (Omega anyone) and now they decided to let Americans fuck another IP of them just for the heck of it
 
Nah, they wouldn't make Goku a girl, because, as said, they know not to change the protagonist.

They would make Tenshinhan or Chaos a girl instead.

Any magical girl or girl oriented cartoon: all female team A++
Any cartoon for boys: There must be one at least one token girl! Since 80s!

I quite like style of CGI in this trailer, to be honest.
And, one again - why this series is even made? I didn't watch Saint Seiya, but I thought it's still on-going in Japan? Why CGI remake with American writers is need?
 
This is supposedly a remake of the original cartoon series, in theory.

In practice, it's clearly a reimagining that happens to be taking changes from a moron.
