I love how the dark melancholy atmosphere never dissipates for one second, the consistency was well executed. Even when there are those that have accepted the ruin find out the rumor of devouring casshern, their wish to live takes over and they end up suffering for it.
No one really gets a happy end in the conventional way. They find peace in living the last days of their life and finding happiness in every little thing in that time until they die.

The soundtrack is really amazing too.
Oh yeah.
This song (and that scene) are perfectly combining what makes Casshern such a great show.
The atmosphere that even when something vaguely positive happens, it has this deep set sadness to it, that it's clear it's just a short glimpse of something positive but ultimately also something that is fading and unable to withstand time.

And watching Casshern just tearing asunder robot after robot ain't too bad, either.

Ther overall atmosphere is very akin to Ergo Proxy (only Ergo Proxy, as much as I enjoyed it, is pretentious as fuck).

I love how the only pure thing in the world is Ringo, she's special in a way that even when the world is facing uncertainty she finds the most simplest things beautiful and smiles. She is the only character that actually gets a true happy ending even when she's all alone with friender. Her wish to see Casshern once more is what drives her to keep living so she's able to grow up without the ruin destroying her. I also felt for Dio and Leda. Dio only wishing to be better than Casshern, and Leda ends up dying happily knowing Dio truly did care about her.
There's another thing CS does that not many anime does for me, it really makes me want to know the one episode characters more, I always genuinely want to know what happens to them, and/or how they were before the ruin. The episode where they find Lizas caretaker is one episode I wish I knew how she was before her neuro circuits were damaged. and the human Akos, who ends up dying from what i assume to be kidney failure or something like that.

Overall I like these kind of reboots from shows from back in the 80's. The same sentiment goes for Android Kikaider which had a live action series in the 70's which wasn't as serious or melancholy as the anime.

True men of class and culture know that, out of Rei and Asuka, Misato is best

Just got done watching Casshern Sins. Was obsessed with Aoi Hana and A Path after I got done watching that fucker.

A new trailer for the upcoming DBS movie has dropped a couple hours ago:

Mostly stuff from the previous trailer, but there's quite a few new scenes as well, and they all look incredible. Even is the plot most likely won't be a lot more complex than that of your average DBZ OVA, the art, animation, storyboarding and choreography is going to be top notch.

I still think that Blizzard song feels really out of place, but at least this time around it has grown on me a little. Thankfully I think it'll be limited to the end credits, which is a good thing if you ask me. Personally for the trailer I would've gone with something similar to these:

I came across this image back in September when I was seeing a lot of arguments about fansubs popping up (MyAnimeList got rid of their fansubs section around that time). I've meant to throw it up here because I had a lot of questions about its legitimacy, but most of it comes off as exaggerated/fake. I dunno.

It’s probably a shitpost. I mean, it says that he successfully assassinated Robin Williams.

Oh wow, when was the last time we had news of this? Two years ago or something like that? I'm still going to remain cautiously optimistic, especially with that ten-episode run, but it sounds right at home on Netflix to be honest.

What's new to me is I guess the One Piece live-action is going to be a movie instead of a series? Pretty... out there, honestly. But hey, for a young independent studio, I wish them luck.

Shame that the salt mines are death, people are really getting into fist fight and internet battle royales to bitch about how much of a shit is going to be, im more interested in the new anime of Ultraman that is based in the manga that the author may or not may be a fan of Iron man
