Looking into what this show is, it kinda reminded me of this silly French thing...I'm really enjoying Cells at Work!. It's really cute but also fairly educational and a good show to help me wind down.

1. You shouldn't make an anime based off some janky half assed DnD campaign...ever
2. The only way this elf could h ave been alive for 2000 years and not know that goblins rape elves is if she lived an incredibly sheltered life. Or the writing is just bollocks. What has she been doing for 2000 years? Fingering herself?
3. Espeically when you take into effect that she SAID "my home isn't far from here" when they found the raped elf woman.
4. If the world is teetering on destruction why are there old guys selling ice cream , people ignoring the possibility of monsters living under their city even when there were corpses of mutilated women found in the streets, and a goblin was actually baited out and captured.
5. If the world is actually teetering on destruction why is monster hunting relegated to quests...for money...and fame?
6. Why does pope titty jesus lady do nothing....?
Ooooh so the explanation for shitty writing is that its a half assed DnD campaign. Now it makes sense. You can get away with anything with a "God wills" excuse.
I guess the idea is Slayer leaves absolutely nothing to chance but that still doesn't excuse everyone else being pants on head idiots. You don't roll a dice to decide whether or not to warn people that rapist monsters are in the area I guess. How is Goblin Slayer able to not have dice rolled on him? If nobody is sentient because this is all a "game", how can he function at all without dice? Dice rolls are necessary for actions, right?
This means the whole "don't be unprepared" meme is wrong. You can't be prepared if everything is decided by dice rolls. Like if that's the case it doesn't matter what weapon you bring to any location. If there are actual dice there's a set possibility of any action failing or succeeding no matter what you do.
If women are more likely to forgive a murdering rapist do all women have a negative modifier to intelligence?
I love the fact he just wants to kill goblins. Why do people make such a fuss about justifiable genocide?

Also I'd love to read more manga, but mechas have always been better as anime due to being action oriented that it's just not as explosive in manga form, it's way more enjoyable as anime and always will be. I enjoy reading Ranma 1/2, Steins;Gate and Welcome to the NHK. Oyasumi PunPun is great too.
So far, I've liked it. If you haven't seen it so far only the first 5min are really about a 'bunny girl'. Story focuses on a weird 'adolescence syndrome' e.g the titular bunny girl is a former idol and is vanishing from peoples eyes and memories and she dresses that way to see if people notice or react to her. Last episode was a time loop 'groundhog day' and might be following that style for a bit.>bunny girl senpai
Why am i not surprised something like that would be in the top 3
I recommend the comedy 'Grand Blue' if anyone hasn't seen it from last season. Premise is protagonist goes to college and joins a SCUBA club, what it is really about though is hard drinking, stabbing your friends in the back and 'titan' faces.
2 - She said she just left her forest. Elves are presented as reclusive. Its also been presented that goblins are beneath basically every silver adventurer, so they don't give two fucks and never really see the damage that they do. That's why Goblin Slayer himself has a one-track mind. He's seen what they do. He's experienced it first hand. That's why he doesn't give a shit about the world ending catastrophe. The poor villages will all be destroyed, raped and pillaged first, because there will be no one there to protect them. The elf, dwarf and lizard man are all silver ranked and its been stated in the show that silvers don't bother with goblins. It also reflects in how the elf reacts to his equipment.
3 - That's her realizing the threat of the goblins for the first time in her life. Even though she's 2000 years old, she's barely left her forest. So she's sheltered. She doesn't know what they're really like. The episode makes a point of that. She thinks adventures are all these fun and games but isn't prepared for the harsh reality of it and only awakens to the reality at the end of the episode when she finally understands why Goblin Slayer only really slays goblins. That's why she softens on the Goblin Slayer at the end of episode 4 with the flashback.
4 - Life goes on dude. Even in WWII this shit happened.
5 - Because there's not enough soldiers to go around and adventurers are basically mercenaries, supplementing the authority of the kingdom because their resources are spread thin. Even during the worst times, people still needed money and incentives to do things. Mercenaries have always been a thing during desperate wars and conflicts.
6 - You mean...I actually don't know who you mean.
Dice rolls in games are basically a metaphor for how skilled someone is. The more skills you develop, the better your rolls are. Goblin Slayer develops every single skill he can, while other adventures go 'pfft, I got this awesome equipment and shit, I don't need to do nuffin else' and then they get raped and slaughtered. Goblin Slayer says it himself, Imagination is a weapon. He thinks outside of the box, explores all his options, develops all his skills for a singular purpose. You can say he's just stacking the bonuses in his favor while other adventurers simply assume and never prepare and never get those sweet pluses to their rolls.
I was reading that the Goblin Slayer is basically 'The Punisher' set in a fantasy world. And if you think about it, it makes sense. The Punisher doesn't give two shits if Thanos is a danger. Yeah, maybe he can put his skills and planning to help, but he really, really doesn't care. He's a force of nature, obsessed with his sole enemy. Same with the Goblin Slayer. And like the Punisher, the Goblin Slayer begins to enjoy what he does.
Also, Goblin Slayer is clearly based on old-school D&D stuff, where races were basically evil and good and evil was more black and white.
Yeah, I always fight off some terrorists when I get my döner with yogurt (or just drink an ayran with it)Is this the proper way to eat a kebab?
