Am I'm the only one who see Evangelion as a genuine show with the theme that you mustn't run away from your problems, facing them ahead to change as opposed to the viewpoint that the show is mega deep and stuff? I know there are legit symbolism, but part of me thinks that some people overblown the symbolism aspect of the show. Any thoughts?

Lately I've been following Yamishibai. I like the first season more though. As for manga, I have quite a long list that I follow, but among my top 5 would be:
Vinland Saga
Vagabond
Otoyomegatari
Kingdom
and
One Punch Man

I just love how Saitama is this dorky looking bald guy and the other characters look badass as fuck.
I love how those panels, when put together, look like an actual animation.

last time i watched an animoooo was some months ago when my bro felt like watching the poggeymenz show from our childhood, and it was dumb but we laughed sometime. the important thing was, it was nostalgic. oh, i think i might have watched the first ep of gurren laggan and i should really get back to that, it was pretty good looking.

now don't laugh at me

i happened to find something on the youtube sidebar one day when i was looking for vidya gaem shit and so this is the first animoo series i'm watching due to its easy availability right now. i really love dumb things ( i have poor taste and i don't care what you think) but let me tell you, this is a GOOD FUCKING ANIMOO.

it's fucking bomberman jetters. seriously.

Took some time during my wilderness sabbatical to check on Bakuman properly. Found it to be cheesy and boring, I would not recommend.

Reading the Kinnikuman manga. Man, I love old school series like this. Might reread Urusei Yatsura when I'm done.

My favorite anime:
Fullmetal Alchemist (the original. Might end up being Brotherhood instead considering I enjoy the manga more. I plan to purchase the full series at some point.)
Azumanga Daioh
Some of Miyazaki's movies like Kiki's Delivery Service and Spirited Away.
Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt

My favorite manga:
Again, Fullmetal Alchemist
Azumanga Daioh
Yotsuba&!

Yeah, I don't watch a lot of anime or read a lot of manga. I do however play a lot of games with anime art styles and tropes though.

I watch way too much of it. I knock out a series or two in a day (per series, if it's in the 26-3x episode range, then I'll watch another during the weekend. If they're 13 episodes, then I'll do one a night).

I think I'm actually gonna watch the entirety of Sailor Moon starting today. The reboot is alright, but nothing beats the original.

Good luck. That's going to take a while. Aren't there 200 episodes or something?

I read 2 of those also. I mentioned it earlier in the thread, but the ARIA manga is pretty nice too. It's set on a replica of Venice on a terraformed Mars in the 24th century or something.

One Piece has been kicking too much ass lately. First, Robin said something really awesome, then Ussop did something really awesome. Thats two of my favorite characters being really awesome!

I'm so ready for an English Dressrosa, whether thats in 2020 or whenever.

I've been thinking of watching Persona 4: The Animation lately. P4 is my favorite game of all time but I've been hesitant to watch it, as it probably won't invoke the same feelings I got from playing it.
