Other than Evangelion, what other Gainax productions are worth trying out?
 
Since I go back to college Friday, I plan on celebrating the beginning of the year like I always do. Get drunk and watch the Berserk movies with my friend.
 
It's not anime per se but last night I watched the Korean Mazinger rip-off movie Robot Taekwon V. A somewhat poorly subbed version is on youtube if you want to watch something....special. Yes, special is the word I think I'll go with.
 
Lately I've been following Yamishibai. I like the first season more though. As for manga, I have quite a long list that I follow, but among my top 5 would be:
Vinland Saga
Vagabond
Otoyomegatari
Kingdom
and
One Punch Man

I just love how Saitama is this dorky looking bald guy and the other characters look badass as fuck.
 
I like the Urusei Yatsura manga. The American releases I have ("The Return of Lum") from the 90s had the art mirrored around and the Japanese SFX edited out, making them look really dated.

I just watched the first episode of Steins;Gate. I'm so confused right now. I don't know if I'll be able to follow just what the hell is going on in this show.

EDIT: I'm on the second episode now. I officially hate moe characters that always speak in third-person now.

It does take some time getting used to because they had to compress a game into a 26 episode show.
 
I recently watched the first 2 episodes of Psycho Pass. I really like the idea of it and I definitely want to continue it

Besides that, I'm a huge fanatic of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure and I'm currently reading Part 7 of the manga. All I have to say is this:

I hate how everyone brushes off half the things they're about to say as "nothing" in Steins;Gate. Just finish your sentences you fucking shit-heeled cunts. Like, it happens every time. I don't think I've ever been so angry at something so minor.
