I have no idea why the CBBC bought the Flint the Time Detective show and played it at six am weekday mornings.
It was to fill sit time and it was mostly likely cheap as shit to get the rights to. Cartoon Network did the same to Scan2Go(Who even known about this one?). Networks need stuff to fill up slots in the Graveyard hours.

So I know RWBY isn’t exactly anime, and people’s opinion on it varies pretty wildly, but I’m a bit fucked up over the most recent episode’s(which has been out for 4 days but I only noticed today) cliffhanger.

Thankfully I’ll only have to wait a couple days instead of a week this time.

Rwby is something I never really cared to give a look at since it looked like ass and my torlcences for Rooster Teeth's shit starts and ends at Red vs Blue(Which isn't very good either). it also doesn't help that most accounts I've seen make it seem like you get Stockholms for it. Like they can't say a single good thing about it, but can't stop watching it. Black Clover is good enough for my not good storytelling, but cool fight scenes itch.

They should of said fuck it and made the series focus around Goten and Babby Trunks having adventures while Gohan and Vegeta train them. Bringing back Babby Goku just reeks of laziness.
Goten should've gone into space and Toei has no idea what they missed keeping him on Earth. We could've brought back Dragon Ball humor with teenaged Goten trying to pick up space babes from all over the universe, not to mention a teenaged Gotenks.

Meh, I’m not gonna claim it’s the best thing ever, but I’m invested enough in RWBY’s characters and story to keep watching. I can understand people being turned off by the animation, but even that has had some drastic improvements each season.

Fox Kids brought it over too.
I think the BBC had a agreement with Fox Kids because they also had the Marvel 90s shows and Jackie Chan Adventures.

See, for me it was Samurai Pizza Cats that got a 6am showing on WB(what is now the CW).
I have vague memories of Samurai Pizza Cats, it's all mixed together with TMNT and Thundercats.

Anyone watching Devilman Crybaby?

I've seen the first two episodes and don't really know what to make of it.
Fox Kids brought it over too.
Did Fox Kids have an anime block on the evenings?

Fox Kids LatAm had one where they aired Digimon, Monster Rancher, Muscle Bomber, Shin Chan, Patlabor and some other misc stuff.

(:autism:) So MyAnimeList has been holding annual Anime Watching/Manga Reading Challenges for the last few years or so, and this year's challenge is making me think I made a huge mistake going for Hardcore. I suddenly don't know if I will be able to watch 100 different anime titles to match the criteria.
And I wanna attempt the manga reading challenge for once...

Uh oh. Is it that bad? :c

I'll probably check it out after Godzilla: Monster Planet is available.

Not in the States, no. It was Saturdays for a while before moving to Sundays (or had both blocks), I distinctly remember switching back-and-forth between Kids WB and Fox Kids to watch certain shows (but it was mostly for Digimon for the latter).

It's like...it's difficult to explain. It's plain ugly for like 15 minutes and then show kicks it into high gear and the choices of aesthetics begins to make sense.

That being said there are some other things that bother me, specially concerning Ryo. Changing his background story for no reason, giving him a machine gun when the orginal struggled to get a shotgun, him acting much like an asshole, making him a super hacker genius out of the blue....and there's no devil mask this time yet he's aware of Amon and the other devils so

Is he fully aware he's Lucifer?

If it’s gonna end like the manga...hoo boy.
I doubt it'll end like the manga. Crybaby is going the same way as Devilman Lady (the "original" Devilman is a tv show/manga) so the finale could be some multiverse scre up.

Reading the episodes synopsis on YouTube, it sounds really close to what happens in the manga. Specifically the last two episodes.

Didnt they already met and fucked in devilman lady?
Ive only read the synopsis of that show, but Im pretty sure they met.

Finished the new Devilman. I don't have any opinions as to how it compares to the manga--as I have no knowledge of it. I also wasn't sure what to make of the art style at first. In the first episode they literally had a guy walking like a stiff cardboard cutout. Most of the characters looked like they had anorexia. At least you don't have deal with Akira's toothpick legs after the first episode, getting transformed and all.
I don't feel like getting into detail. Let's just say it definitely picks up more and more momentum. I enjoyed the ride, too. The fights, the music, even the visuals, I enjoyed.

I want to like it but I want crude thick lines on Devilman like the comics. I can't get into crude thin lines for Devilman.

Unrelated I'm still more than a little weirded out by the idea that there's a bkub anime.

Yeah, it ended up just like the manga. The final shot is the very same scene from planet earth seen from afar.

It does get pretty damn good at the end. The manga ends up pretty abruptly, this anime handles the final fight and all the things leading up to it (the mass hysteria, Miki's family, the rise of devilmen) much better.

Anyone else watch the first episode of the Junji Ito Collection? I thought it was alright, but have conflicted feelings on Souichi's voice.

I like Junji Ito's work and am looking forward to watching it (I was happy to see the episodes will be full-length this time), but I'm a fucking pussy about it 'cause one of his works legitimately disturbs me, and I have a feeling that one will be part of the collection, but I don't know which episode. So I'm trying to get it to where I'll be watching it with my brother(s) but he wants to wait until it's done. :/
