I'm sad to say I've never seen them before (I think? The chick might be ringing some bells). Please do enlighten me, I love me some comedic trios.

I'll do it. These are the Dorombo Gang from Yatterman. They've been the inspiration for many villain trios in animation, but mostly anime.

Is it wrong that I think these beautiful people may have been the inspiration for Team Rocket?

They absolutely are. Especially Grandis/Jessie. They even have the mechs and a dandy. Switch 'em up a bit, give King to them instead of the heroes, and BAM. (Iris's design is definitely a Nadia homage, and the Nadia series is a classic EVERYONE grew up with. They've definitely seen it.)

They are, in fact, the trio that started it all (alongside the villain trios from every other Time Bokan show) - everyone who came after them was in some way or another in their footsteps.

See what I wrote above this.

I'm watching Yurikuma Arashi and I don't think I've ever seen a show this unsubtle before.

Hey everybody, guess what’s back for season 2!

EDIT: Aaaaaand of course it got copyright striked.

It was SAO Abridged Season 2.

I finally gave Black Clover a shot and Meleoleona can incinerate my existence anytime. But for real it okay, My biggest complaint is that the pacing is waaay to fucking fast like the series isn't even 200 chapters and shit ton of stuff has happen. I have feeling the author thought he'd get shit can fast so he wanted to make sure he fit as much as he could. It worked a little bit, But I feel a lot of character become one note. Like most of the black bull's development starts in one chapter and ends in the same one. Surprisingly Asta is one of the best characters is far from the annoying turd many claim he is in the anime. Yami and Noelle are the only another characters I think are handled well. I really can't complain beyond I think it needs to give breath room for it's side characters.

despite my growing distaste of poorly paced long running shows I marathon Yu-Gi-Oh Vrains and it trickles my autism just right. Its far from a good show, but the yugioh fanboy in me is happy with it. Give me half decent monster designs with surprisingly alright animation and I won't complain much. But I will bitch about the fact it has fucking 3 recap episodes before the 30th episode. Now what show should I watch instead pf catching with super?

The Black Clover anime is too fast, and the manga is agonizingly slow.

So I've been watching Neo Yokio with one of my weebish friends and we've been laughing our asses off, but we still can't quite understand if the show is meant to be a parody (or at least parodic, poking fun at the things the main characters do and say) or genuine.

The main character has a bizarre obsession with wealth, looking fashionable, and popular opinion. To the point where he tells an old man spraying his wife's headstone with her favorite perfume that the perfume is old and shitty and that he should try something new that's hip with the kids.

He legit sounds autistic. And the rest of the characters aren't much better.

Wednesday I'm going to the single screening of the first Sora no Otoshimono movie in my theaters.I'm kinda curious about the kind of people going to THAT...seriously,I still can't believe they are screening that of all anime movies they could...

Currently reading Beastars.

Basically, it's like Zootopia but it's placed at a high school. Kinda goes into the same themes but is quite a bit darker.

So far I really like it.

Is Fairy Tail worth the time to read through?
lol

Hiro Mashima's own words said:
I honestly didn’t have any of the last scene of the story in my mind when I started the series. The fact that nobody knew where the story was going was actually the best part about working on this series. For example, one chapter ends with a cliff hanger when the characters are in a real tight spot. What’s going to happen next? That’s actually a question I asked myself.
LOL

Does it have alot of worldbuilding like One Piece or Hunter X Hunter?

If Hunter x Hunter is a Porsche, Fairy Tail is a PT Cruiser- popular despite being garbage.

In short: it's crap, watch something else.

If you liked One Piece and Hunter x Hunter, give Yu Yu Hakusho a try.

Eiichiro Oda Teases Developments for One Piece Manga in 2018
Author teases new enemy, Wano Country arc
One Piece manga creator Eiichiro Oda teased future developments for the manga via a handwritten message during a stage presentation at the Jump Festa 2018 event on Sunday. In the message, Oda said that the manga will enter the Wano Country arc next year. He added that he said the same thing last year, but explained that at the time he thought he would be able to enter the arc this year.

Oda also stated in the message that he plans to introduce a "lurking legend" in the One Piece world next year. He also added that it will be "Luffy and his crew's greatest enemy." Oda teased that this enemy "might be related to Whitebeard." Oda also teased that the Paramount War storyline in the series will "look cute" compared to "that."

Oda had said in an interview in the Super Kabuki II One Piece ''Idai Naru Sekai" photo collection and information book that shipped last month that he thought that he will get to the Wano Country arc within 1-2 years, but he will also "probably" draw a story related to Ace within the arc.

Oda said in an interview in July 2016 that he had finished around 65% of the manga.

The manga currently has 430 million copies in print worldwide — 360 million copies in print in Japan and 70 million copies in print outside of Japan. Oda began serializing the manga in Weekly Shonen Jump in 1997, and the manga has been published in more than 30 countries. Shueisha released the manga's 87th compiled book volume on November 2, and Viz Media released the 84th volume on November 7.

I like Black Clover as well, it's a simple shonen battle series I can unwind with after I read the more dense entries in SJ's stable like One Piece or MHA.

I love the (very, very) dynamic art, and the quick pacing, but I agree with you that the characters are razor-thin, there's no substance there at all. This is partly why Pierrot chose to slow down the pace, to add more character moments.

It's a shame they chose such a shitty VA for Asta, I cringe at least once every episode when hearing him scream.

I would go further into plot discussions, but I don't want to spoil things for people.

It's not necessarily a bad thing when writers make shit up on the fly, Breaking Bad writers changed a lot of shit, sometimes on a whim and rode by the seat of their pants, but a writer needs to have some idea on how to end his series, if not necessarily the whole ending conceived.

Mashima has his positives (Very good, consistent and dynamic art, plus, no breaks!), but his storytelling was always trash. Which is a shame, I always liked the lore of FT and thought more could be done with it.

Also try reading/watching My Hero Academia.. It's a really well-made series.

I also like Kimetsu no Yaiba a lot and need to catch up on it. Shame it's still not adapted to an anime yet.

My only complaints with BNHA are that it's tropey to the point of being predictable, and that the amount of praise it's been getting has lured all the cringey teenagers into its fanbase. Even though it's better than SAO and SNK, it's likely to suffer the same fate- overhype and rabid fans will cause people to turn on it.

Otherwise though, it's pretty good, and feels like a classic shounen story. The manga has a really nice, (albeit cutesy) art style and I dig the character designs a lot. Horikoshi is really good at varying facial features without making the characters look weird or ugly.

Side note: if you like Star Wars, you'll probably appreciate how much BNHA references it.
