I remember she was described as such in the first game, though more in the line of being a late bloomer that she starts incredibly weak and becomes absurd by the end. Not that it changes much since the early game tends to be the hardest.

What he said. She fucking sucks early on but is worth the investment to just utterly break the game. When I find the will to again, I'll do a regular and CCC run with Tamamo and just stunlock BB and Kiara until they cry

She's a dark magical girl, which I guess Precure hasn't followed the trend on until now according to that guy. And so it's blown his mind that Precure is finally doing a dark magical girl.

He's treating it as a paradigm shift and it just isn't.

Well that's debatable. I'm sure there's something unique and different about her and the way it's being done but Precure has had dark magical girls before. Although typically they're not full on Cures when they're doing that stuff, or they're brainwashed, or they're just full on villains while this one sounds more like an "adversary". A lot of these definitions for magical girl stuff are pretty loose in the first place, I wouldn't be shocked if she was pretty original for Precure but the franchise already had Seiren, Mirage, Dark Precure, Dark Dream from one of the movies, Twilight, Regina, etc.

She's a Cure, she just disagrees with them MCs is all. He's losing his mind because he's equating it to when Cure White and Cure Black got into a fight way back in the day and it just...isn't. It isn't like that at all.

It's decent. One of the nice things about Precure is that they've never really lost their identity between series, sort of like Power Rangers. It's not all the same show, but it's similar enough that it's still "A Precure series".

I do like the art style they are going for, seems rather interesting and not what the modern typical anime looks like. But I also can see why this adaptation could have a difficult time since it looks nothing like previous shows, probably won't be as moody and philosophical and at least seems to be quite close to the source material which also wasn't the case with previous adaptations.

It's based on the Manga so it's supposed to be a more faithful adaptation

I think the manga still questions similar things to the original show as well but idk, I haven't read it.
