Yea, Demo was the only worthwhile one but I doubt he'll ever make a true return. He still streams games pretty regularly though, and he's still the same Demo.
He's got no reason to return. The scene is exponentially gayer and more retarded than it was when he was around, I doubt that he enjoys 99% of anime made in the past decade given his taste in the medium, and he's got a good thing going with his streams without needing to deal with youtube's bullshit (which has also become exponentially gayer and more retarded since he left).

I am going to hate on the anime series Elfen Lied in this post.

The scenes of serious brutal violence are so strong and so effective that they deserve to not be sandwiched in between scenes of childish anime trope humor. It actually reminded of a live action film I saw that had a similar problem - the infamous Hong Kong category III film, The Untold Story. This goes beyond tonal inconsistency - it is mocking disturbing situations by minimizing their impact in the very next scene.

Elfen Lied is one of those anime that got worse the older I get. I remember thinking it was one of the best supernatural anime ever just because of the violence and how it didn't shy away from it, but now that I'm not a teenager anymore, I can see why the show was kinda half-baked with a lot of what it wanted to do. It also doesn't help that the anime and manga are very different, though I can't really say that the manga is much better.

Those violent scenes were often incredibly horrific in my opinion. That scene with the puppy, for example. The least that series could have done was keep a straight face when shit like is going down.

Jt's one of those shows that maintains it's kinda cult classic status by having a mild amount of nudity, some pretty nutty ultra violence, and an absolutely fantastic OP but I don't think many think it's all that good of a show. I think a lot of people think fondly of it purely because they watched it while young.

Yeah, that opening theme song is very beautiful, I will admit.
