The Blue Hearts! Nice. Japanese Punk Rock. Some anime series have used their songs or covered them. Great stuff.I ain't here for specific anime, I'm just here to drop the coolest fucking clothing commercial ever animated.
https://youtube.com/watch?v=m8oSGs8hkcoMajor show ED energy and yet it was just for fashion in 1988, goddamn we need this kind of energy back now.
I have a love of series where some kid trains martial arts and grows as a person through that, something like All Rounder Meguru or Holyland or take your pick of other classics. It's raining.

Isn't that kind of what Hajime No Ippo did, too?I have a love of series where some kid trains martial arts and grows as a person through that, something like All Rounder Meguru or Holyland or take your pick of other classics.
Holyland is one I’m about 50 chapters into and loving so far, I’m really interested to see how our main dude grows as he fights more.
Oh you're in for a TREAT!I recently started Tough, another one of the OGs that’s lesser known today. Again, reading this one you can see it’s genealogy in so many other works and it’s pretty brutal. It’s about a dude who likes to fight other dudes, I’m pretty early into it but liking it a lot so far.
Stick with reruns then you always have the classicsI don't wanna watch anything anymore. I can't find any reason to.
I love how when that show was first airing everybody was sucking its cock and talking it up as the OG reincarnation isekai and how it was going to save the genre's reputation and it didn't have all the same issues as its genetic successors and so on and so forth. Why does such a garbage anime like Jobless Reincarnation have to have such a catchy opening theme song for its first season?
I'm still of the opinion that the only two good Isekai we have, at least of the ones that follow the modern formula of it, are Konosuba and Re:Zero.I love how when that show was first airing everybody was sucking its cock and talking it up as the OG reincarnation isekai and how it was going to save the genre's reputation and it didn't have all the same issues as its genetic successors and so on and so forth.
And then it came out, and immediately shat itself and died because it's EXACTLY the same as every single work inspired by it.
Konosuba is great specifically because it's a satire of the genre. Re:Zero is garbage though, I won't even pretend like it's good.I'm still of the opinion that the only two good Isekai we have, at least of the ones that follow the modern formula of it, are Konosuba and Re:Zero.
And I am of the opinion that Now and Then Here and There will always be the greatest isekai anime ever produced.I'm still of the opinion that the only two good Isekai we have, at least of the ones that follow the modern formula of it, are Konosuba and Re:Zero.
Mushoku Tensei got carried by it's animation.
I also find it funny that Digimon is technically an Isekai if you think about it.
To be fair for Re:Zero I'm mainly going off of what my friends have said about it when I made the claim. I tend to not watch Reincarnation Isekai at all. 99% of the genre like you said is hot garbageRe:Zero is garbage though, I won't even pretend like it's good.
Re:Zero is definitely part of that 99%. It suffers from the classic LN problem where the author has a premise that is decent to good and literally nothing else. So he blows his entire load within the first two to three volumes and then is totally out of ideas and the series immediately nosedives into retarded lore and dumbshit characters that no one cares about doing shit that doesn't matter while the author saves up animation budget for the once per season (totally lame) fight scene. To be fair for Re:Zero in mainly going off of what my friends have said about it when I made the claim. I tend to not watch Reincarnation Isekai at all. 99% of the genre like you said is hot garbage
To be fair for Re:Zero in mainly going off of what my friends have said about it when I made the claim.
It really is. Konosuba making fun of that is again what makes it great. The thing that bothers me about most isekai being released today is that it is unhealthy fantasy fodder for unpopular kids and shut ins.
