DearS is one of those "I bet the creator never touched a woman in his life... what do you mean the creators (PeachPit) are all women?!" sorts of manga.

Started reading HxH a couple weeks ago and am just about to finish Yorknew I think.

I’ve really enjoyed it so far - but I still wouldn’t really call it that much different from most other shonen of them time? There’s less fights, and I like how Gon and Killua didn’t stay in Heaven’s Arena longer than they needed too.

Akane-banashi is being officially broadcast on an official YouTube channel with official subtitles in a very official manner. That means you can set it to 1080p without worrying about it suddenly going down because your internet is stupid or download it directly from YouTube.

Never been so disapointed in an anime as I was watching the season 3 of "To your eternity." (:_( why butcher it
Though a recomendation for people.
I am not old enough to have known about this one until recently, but I really loved it-
Rurouni Kenshin: Trust & Betrayal / ova
I didn't like the recent remake though.

Not anime specific, but it never fails to weird me out how Japanese media is perfectly fine with portraying sex trade as something acceptable, but drug use is somehow the one red line that must never be crossed. Completely opposite to the western morals where drug use is understandable but sex trade is the most horrific "normal" thing a criminal can do.

Has anyone watched humanity has declined? such a good show.
Best English pun in Japanese media and I respect the build up.

Japanese have always had a legal/quasi legal sex trade and never got big into drugs after watching what happened to Big Brother China on the ass end of the opium trade which was used to justify their already isolationist leanings for a hundred years.

Drugs, the few times they appear in anime, usually take the form of unspecified substances that turn someone into a crazed zombie.
the japanese are super weird about them

i am convinced that is what they unironically think drugs are like because of it
which, to be fair, isn't that far off of a description of someone on PCP but still

when it's not that, it's le ebbin horny mindbreak shit
silly japanese

I really like HxH, but I also think that Togashi was just making shit up most of the time. Before the Nen systems is introduced the series is basically " Yeah they have some sort of superpower, who cares " and after that the tone and story are in constant whiplash. The Chimera Ant Arc is the quintessential HxH experience and honestly the only thing that I care about with this series. Everything from the story and characters to the Nen system and battles comes together to form something coherent. And everything before wasn't bad but also in a most cases meaningless and forgettable.

Is there a single good anime this season? Can't see anything good.

The ending song always tears me up.

What is bad in the third season? I started it but just can't care for it to continue. The second season ended so well, and it gets annoying how the main character just keep reverting to be retarded over and over.

I don't get why this bothers people in this thread. Drugs are evil. Have you guys not seen the junkies wasting away on the side of the street? Druggies attacking and murdering people because the drugs fried their brains? Even if they kick the habit, they are permanently brain damaged from their addiction. There is nothing but objective negatives involved.

Unless you like some of the continuations going on, this is definitely a backlog season. I was thinking of rewatching Eureka Seven, myself.

It's not that drugs aren't bad, it's that the sex industry is much much worse, especially when some Japanese media ignore cases that the "honorable outlaws" try to pimp underage characters.

A hundred thousand people die from drug overdoses in America every year, and is not counting all of the robberies, assaults, and murders that were motivated or caused by drugs.

So how is the sex industry "much much worse"? Also, how do you pimp a character?

"Liar Game" might get very good, edgy play games for money anime, animated by Madhouse; "Daemons of the shadow realms" another shounen by fullmetal alchemist author, animated by Bones; "Nippon Sangoku" had a very good first episode with a decent artstyle and animation by a new studio; "Needy Girl Overdose" for more edge kino.

Those are my picks for now.

Drugs are something that people willfully take, if they fry their brain on it then it's their own fault. Sex trade exploits the weakest part of the population that a lot of time doesn't get any say on the matter.

Yeah objectively drugs cause more damage, but at least with western morality sex trade is worse.
