This anime took so long to continue that every time a new season came out I had already forgotten what happened in the previous one so in the end I decided to just read the manga from beginning to end.I love the Golden Kamuy manga but what worked in manga-form doesn't always work in anime-form, plus the anime's quality took a massive nosedive after season 3 and became pure unadulterated cringe.
This so-called "final season" is no different since it has the same stiff animation and awkward pacing that season 4 suffered from. Yeah I know Golden Kamuy's animation obviously isn't the smoothest, but my point still stands.
I was so fed up with seeing the same hideous square-faced Ainu niggers with vacant stares show up in 5 trillion flashbacks with Wilk - way too much time was dedicated to em. Just give me the tl;dr, this is an anime adaptation so adapt for fuck's sake. Yeah sure let's rush through the best scenes and instead spend an eternity on needlessly verbose flashbacks, way to go guys! さすがですぅ!
And that "final chapter/season" in the motherfuckin' title was a motherfuckin' lie. I was wondering how they'd fit all the fighting that happens on the train into one episode, so in hindsight I'm relieved there's (what I'm assuming is) a movie continuation.
Hey, at least this time it's only a year away instead of 3.

It was really depressing tuning in every week only to be bored and disappointed. At least I had Kirei ni Shitemoraemasuka to, well, Wash it All Away *ba-dum-tiss*
It's going to be a long fucking time between the end of the manga and the end of the anime whe the for real final season comes out. Also, it's called Bousou Ressha Hen (speeding train arc). Is it going to be an entire season of adapting the train part at the end? I don't remember it being THAT long. Unless they only do like five episodes or something.
