Is there even any Manhwa worth reading?
ShinAngyo Onshi is pretty good, but its a Korean manhwa written for a Japanese audience in the 90s 1758189048141.webp

So, not a stupid webtoon

Oh hey, muh nostalgia

Didn't see Ryo's pet white tiger who has his own magical power armor though, shame

Finished re-reading JoJo's Part 2. Still good, many good improvements over Phantom Blood, JoJo is an actual character for the most part, actually training for the hero, better side characters, great artwork, Pillar Man are kinda interesting villains. Still some typical issues, Lisa Lisa though being cool is a bit too useless, Araki killing off people to create tension and stakes, Kars's 180 behavior, the last fight in general.

Pretty enjoyable overall. Gonna starting with Stardust Crusaders tomorrow, will probably be a bit more tolerable since it won't have the anime's pacing issues, though I don't expect to like it in the end.

I really like stardust, but it's basically a monster of the week anime. It's pacing is about the same gundam '79 if you've seen that, in that the story is mostly just in the background for most of the part. Don't take that as too much of a negative, the fights are fun and creative.

Man, this weeks Panty&stocking episode was straight up porn for half the episode. How do they get away with this?
I've been putting of the new season, what's the consensus so far. I know their was a retarded slap fight over the dub VA's but i've not heard anyone talk about the actual show.

This is just my opinion but i think the first half of the show is rather weak (beside the first episode). It feels like they were just throwing shit at the wall to see what sticks. there aren't even full episodes anymore. Last season had 2 sectionsa that lasted around 10 minutes each, making one episode. this season has 3 or 4 that only last around 5 minutes making the plot feel like it moves in double speed just to get everything in before their 20 minute air time runs out. (the Fast and the Furious and jack the reaper episodes skits were alright). It gets a bit better once the cousin gets introduced (atleast they got a full 20 minute episode like the demon sisters back in season one). The skits feels better structured and the writing a bit better.

I feel like the biggest offensive however, is what they did to Garterbelt. He feels like such a nothing character now that they have toned him down. he no longer lusts after young boys and stops being into bandage. He only exist to give the angels and demons missions to kill ghosts. Oh, and he no longer has nigger lips.

Oh, that's the first thing I noticed when the trailer dropped. They also removed the crosses from his uniform. P&S was one of those things that was always supposed to be a one-off gimmick show. I never felt it needed a second season, the ending of the first season was a joke that went over way too many people's heads. Funny thing about the nigger lips is that the original teaser had the lips in the original colour, meaning it was a change made late into the production cycle.

I might go with the Sailor Moon manga boxsets. Yeah it lacks the color pages but that does not bother me because I mean......manga is b&w anyway. I can't afford the 14 Eternal Editions 😭

But then the Naoko edition seems perfect to hold in your hands as opposed to those big bulky books. Probably an unpopular thing to say.

Azumanga Daioh is getting a bluray release rescue in December!

I watched the first episode of Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid. It was boring. I stopped the first episode halfway. It wasn't the worst anime I've seen but trannies have shit taste.

What is Stocking outfit in the latest episode? It looks like something from the Underworld series. Kinda wish they built on the time paradox in the end for the last season episode.

Got back from Demon Slayer film. The fights were awesome, but like in the Fate films, Ufotable really crams particle effects rather than use choreography. But everything else is AAASSSSSS. My main issue is that they had a full season of nothing happening besides people sucking off Tanjiro yet the film is full of shit that could have been in that season.

The most egregious being Zenitsu having a fellow student that was never brought up and somehow got immediate boost to be upper rank demon that can use breathing techniques somehow, despite the whole point of Demons being dead. I know the manga ended quickly due to health issues, so there is was justifiable, but that could have been in the previous season.

The first battle was nice, though expected results since only Tanjiro is allowed to do shit. The Zenitsu was alright. Then you have the clusterfuck of the last battle. At least it's a 2 vs 1 affair (it's retarded Slayers don't gank enemies regularly), but the boss has plot armor and Tanjiro get YET ANOTHER midbattle power up (is it the fourth time?) to beat it by becoming literal buddha. Which is especially ridiculous considering the Water techniques are based on being without emotion yet the Water guy can't do it.

Then comes a 40 minute flashback sequence to the demon's life that is the usual misery porn. With such brutally horrible things happening to him without any gravitas that it turns into a farce. Then to be continued with the rest of the boss rush showing off, with the question how Tanjiro will manage when he is already nearly dead and only he is allowed to kill bosses.

Also it is revealed that getting trapped in the infinity castle was "just as planned" for the head of the Slayers despite it being a massive death trap and no one getting a warning about it to prevent them being splattered on the ground. Still no clue why he had to kill his 2 daughters in the suicide attack.

Demon Slayer'e main issue that is started with so much potential and is seemingly self sabotaging by becoming a parody of shonen tropes. Like establishing a massive cast yet not having equivalent amount of enemies for them to fight, so at best they work as jobbers.

As sold out and (((monopolized))) anime is getting these days, I always respect the based old breeds who recognize Remphan as demonic, SMT does this too.
Solomon Demon.webp

Sounds like Bleach. Or Naruto. Or Dragon Ball... All secondaries in a shonen quickly become part of the background. Only the main character/s can do shit.
As soon as SSJ was unlocked it was pretty much a wrap. Last good fight someone like Piccolo had in DBZ where he unquestioningly dominated and stole the scene was probably in Cooler (and that was a movie), Krillin lost his spot even earlier than that.

Piccolo vs 17 is probably my favorite fight (atleast top 5).
